-Part A-

April 26th- Wednesday.

Seven weeks later.

Once Bai Luo Yin's one month of leave has come to an end, as agreed upon, he drove to the San Antonio's base to complete his two last months of service.

Meanwhile, Gu Hai stayed behind to build the foundations for the new company branch. It took him about two days to purchase a building.

It just so happened that a Japanese billionaire lawyer decided to build a ten-story mammoth of a building in a diamond shape in the center of Houston. Planning to open a branch of his law-firm there. However, at the last minute, after the building was already ready for human presence, he did only what the top 5% can allow themselves to do. He changed his mind. One look at the magnificent building, and he grimaced. Nope. Now, he wanted a building twice the size, in a shape of an apple with a green leaf on top, in Manhattan, New York. In the heart of the rich and famous.

The poor real-estate agent now had to find a buyer for the building. But when she did manage to draw out there a millionaire to take a look at the building; they all, one by one, made a face after one glimpse.

"Why would I pay 40 mil for this when I can build this myself in 15-20 mil? Even if you will sell me the furniture, and the electronics inside, the highest this building worth is about 25 mil. There is absolutely no justification for this price. This is a waste of my time. Next!"

They were right. The building was indeed way overpriced. But, what a poor real-estate agent to do when the seller won't budge, won't listen to her knowledge and experience in the field, and just insist to keep the price at 40? As a result, the building sat in the market for months upon months without any buyers enquiring about it, let alone, making an offer on it.

Thus, when Gu Hai called her after she sold him the house to inquire about buying a building for his company, she immediately offered him the diamond-shape building, or, as they nicknamed it at the agency, the diamond building.

Like the other buyers, Gu Hai expressed his concerns about the building being way overpriced. The agent— who grew frustrated with the seller as well—voiced her frustration, and frank agreement with Gu Hai before she tried to convinced him again. "Just come take a look at the building in person. In reality, it is much more impressive than in the video, and photos. If you will like it, I will fight for you to buy this building at a reasonable price. If you won't like it, I will help you find another building. Just come, and take a look once. That's all I ask."

You made my baby happy with the house you sold us. So, fine. I will take a look.

Hours later, Gu Hai found himself both infatuated, and fascinated by the building. Whoever was the architect, was sure talented beyond words.

It looked as if someone stole the most valuable diamond in the world, and somehow magnified it to an unbelievable size. Sleek wide strips of black and white enfolded the diamond, leaving only the polished glass windows of every floor as a thick transparent coat. When the sun sent its rays out to grope the building, the rays kissed the corners of the diamond, creating a brilliant, blinding light. Like one of a real diamond.

Gu Hai had to shook himself out of the splendor hit after he found himself standing, staring at the magnitude of glory for ten long minutes. Why would anyone want to sell this beauty?

The interior design almost surpassed the outer one. An artificial garden curled adjacent to the lobby's walls, creating stunning narrow and wide waves of bright green. A similar frame decorated the wall of every floor, up to the tenth. The long glass windows of every office made the place seem even more luxurious than it already was.
