Epilogue

Katherine's POV
(September, 2022)

"Mrs. Katherine Ocampo, ano po ang pinaka-inspirasyon niyo sa pagsusulat ng Catastrophe between us?" a woman holding camera ask me.

I'm currently in a press conference to answer some questions from the media because it's my first month after publishing my first ever book. Nagribbon cutting din kami and at the same time ay sasagutin ko rin ang tanong ng mga fans.

I took a deep breath. "Actually ang lola ko ang inspirasyon kung bakit ko napagpasyahan na magsulat ng kwento. I actually don't own this story because 'Catastrophe between us' is my grandparents story." I stop for a second to take a deep breath again.

"The story of Amalia and Danilo is inspired by real events. I decided to write their story because I want people to remember my grandparents and their story even tho they are gone. I want people to know their story because their love story is so beautiful and I want to prove to everyone that love can move mountains. Everything is possible if you know how to love," I said with teary eye.

"Kung ganoon, buhay pa ba ang grandparents mo?" she ask again.

"Just like what I've said, both of them are gone. Masaya na sila sa langit and I'm happy for them."

"May book 2 po ba ang Catastrophe between us?"

"To be honest, wala na pong book 2... Their story has encounter a lot of catastrophe and I think one book is enough, ayoko na ring ilabas pa yung mga ibang pinagdaanan nila na masyado ng private."

The reporter automatically write down all the things that I'm saying. Napapapikit din ako paminsan-minsan dahil sa flash ng mga camera nila.

"Can we know what is the cause of their death?"

"I'm sorry but I think that question is too private. I'm afraid I can't answer that." they all sigh because of what I said.

"Magpapatuloy ka pa po ba sa pagsusulat or hihinto ka na?"

"I won't write anymore. Kagaya ng sinabi ko na: ang grandparents ko ang inspirasyon ko sa pagsulat ng Catastrophe between us, ngayong naibahagi ko na ang kanilang story, I think I'll stop here. Masaya na ako na maraming tao ang nakakakilala at nakaka-alam ng storya nila."

"May ibang nagtatanong kung ilan ang naging anak nila, would you mind answering it?"

"They had one kid, actually mas gusto nila ng tatlo but unfortunately, nagkaroon ng problema si lola sa pagbubuntis, that's why isa lang ang nabuo nila," I answer.

"Ano pong masasabi niyo na ikaw pa lang po ang naging best selling writer in just a month?"

"Well, ang masasabi ko lang is thank you. Sa lahat ng nagbasa at bumili gusto ko pong sabihin na salamat dahil you take time to read my story and I really appreciate it. And also I want to thank my grandparents, not because their story makes me famous but because they teach us a lot of things about life and love." I smile.

Hindi ko alam kung ilang tanong pa ang sinagot ko sa kanila, they had a lot of questions to the point that I forgot that I need to do something.

Pagkatapos ng press conference ay nagmamadali na akong sumakay sa kotse habang hawak ko ang first ever book na napublish ko.

"Saan po tayo ma'am?" tanong ng driver ko.

"Sa lagi po nating pinupuntahan kuya."

Sinuot ko ang seatbelt ko then I seat here for almost 30 minutes. Nakatitig lang ako sa libro na hawak ko, I can't believe that after a year of writing their story, I finally get to published it. Sigurado akong matutuwa si lolo sa langit kapag nalaman niya ang ginawa ko.
