𝔄 conversation, a lunch, an afternoon of lazing around, a dinner (with everyone), a stolen moment to plan with David, a happily received set of new clothes, and a nights rest completely uninterrupted by anything whatsoever left you ready for the next day.

The plan was for you to convince Blind Diamond to allow you and David on shore when the ship docked that afternoon. David said he had 'contacts' in port who would be able to help the two of you get back to Talin, as long as the two of you could slip away. In the likely event you both would not be allowed to, he'd described the building you had to go to to you in detail and told you that you were, under no circumstances, to remain behind because he wasn't there. You had promptly told him the same. Only by threat of telling his mother who really broke her flower vase when you were 6-- or rather, only by making him laugh and get sad enough-- were you able to get him to agree.

So you dressed in the loose pants and tunic-type top that Feliciti had presented you with yesterday. The tunic was subtly paisley patterned with shades of blue, and the pants were what you thought was black, but might have been a very dark navy.

You thought it would blend in relatively well with what would undoubtedly be found in a port city; not nearly as fancy as the dress you'd worn two days ago. The thought, and Kid Blink's comment, sent an unwelcome flush to your cheeks as you firmly yanked a brush through your hair and arranged it so that it wouldn't get in your way if you had to do some running. Which you figured you very well might have to do. Considering yourself in the mirror, you pulled a few strands from your 'do, arranging them around your face to hopefully give you a more innocent look and less of a I-am-plotting-to-escape-look.

You took a couple steps towards the outer door of your room before pausing and looking to the closet. Was it better to go through there? Was he even in there?

For some reason you felt like it might be a good idea to use the secret passage, so you crossed to the wall and knocked softly.

"Come in, Princess." The reply came almost immediately, and you paused-- was this a good idea?-- before slowly opening the passage.

"No question of dressage this time, I see." The voice came over from the bed, where you saw a fully clothed Blind Diamond sprawled on top of the covers and idly flipping through the pages of a book. "Starting to trust me?"

"More like beginning to realize you'd lie to me either way. Which is a form of trust, I suppose." You stepped into his room and took a seat on the empty chair, realizing as you did so that you were trying to beg a favor off of him.

Luckily, he grinned. "I'm offended, love." His lighthearted tone said otherwise, and you smiled back at him, not trying to hide it. If he was in a good mood, that only boded well for your plan.

"Oh, I am sorry Captain." You teased, settling into the surprisingly comfortable chair. You noted idly that the upholstery was a near match to the colors of your clothes as you crossed your legs.

"No matter. I'll forgive you, I suppose." He shrugged lazily, dropping his book onto the bedside table and swinging to a seated position, his grin widening. "So what brings you in here, Princess? Missed me?"

You let your annoyed blush filter through, figuring you'd play to your strengths. "What? No," You stammered unconvincingly (or so you hoped).

He looked curiously at you for a second. "Alright then. What excuse did you give yourself?"

You realized you should have anticipated this question, intending to try and talk with him some more before revealing you're real intent. But you couldn't think of anything that seemed not-flimsy. So you said, "Can I go into Ayzar with you?" After a brief moment's hesitation, you added, "Please?" He'd be easy enough to slip away from, you thought, and it should lend some credibility to your idea. Your blush would have helped, you thought.

But still, you weren't expecting the words that dropped out of his mouth.

"Sure, Princess."
