You carefully pushed open the doors, heartbeat pounding in your ears as you stepped through and entered the room. It was completely silent, the benches on each side of the large dais creaking slightly as their occupants turned to see you. Your cheeks flamed as you slowly started walking forwards, your eyes alighting on the pirate who stood at the front of the room.

His jaw was slack as he watched you approach, eyes skimming over you and your dress and resting on your face. Behind him stood almost all of his crew, standing in the place his family would normally stand. You gave him a smirk that ended up being closer to a giddy smile as you took your place next to him on the dais. He swallowed slightly as the officiator began speaking the traditional words. You let your eyes wander to Blink, smiling a little at his carefully combed hair, his dark maroon suit in your colors, and his ever - present eye patch.

You couldn't help but compare your outfit with his; the fitted white satin that formed the sleeveless dress and fanned out past your knees, embroidered with the dark blue of his colors and overlaid in his silver. You made a striking picture, and the surroundings were picturesque. A perfect royal wedding, set in your home country- (you'd be moving to Kozmir soon after for your coronation). The whole country was to be invited, and so you were thankful that this wedding was such a small affair.

The officiator finished, and turned to you for your vows. You spoke your promises carefully, eyes only for your soon-to-be-husband. After finishing, you carefully clasped his hand in yours and laid a kiss on his fingertips and then his palm, right hand, then left. He did the same, saying his words so firmly and whole-heartedly you couldn't help but smile as he cradled your hands in his, bringing them up and kissing your fingertips and your wrists.

You blushed softly, your cheeks matching his, as he shot you a dazzling smile. The officiator muttered something and finally, finally spoke the words you were dying to hear: "I pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the-"

He was cut off by Blind Diamond, who moved to do just that, his hand slipping around your waist like it was made to do so as he pulled you close to him, his other hand tipping your chin up ever so slightly and then sliding around to cup your cheek as his lips descended to yours. They were soft, careful; you felt like this was the gentlest he'd ever kissed you and you could feel how much he wanted to deepen it, could feel the passion, near desperation that lurked just underneath his gentle pressure.

But there would be time for that later, so you pulled back, cheeks still flushed and eyes bright, smiling up at him. "Louis, you didn't go over the speech, did you?"

He ignored the thrill that shot through him at the sound of his name on your lips, shooting you a soft, questioning look.

"In Talin, the bride kisses the husband," You explained with a cheeky wink, watching how he turned pink again in front of all the laughs, comments, cheers, and whoops that were echoing through the room.

"Well, how is it my fault that you're so kissable?" He whispered to you, still blushing as he slipped an arm around your waist, turning to face the crowd.

You only laughed softly, starting down the steps with him. This wasn't at all how you'd imagined your wedding would go, in any of the scenarios you'd dreamt of through the years. But it was by far the best one.
