𝔅𝔩𝔦𝔫𝔨 stood up, tugging you carefully to your feet. You leaned against him, rubbing your eyes.
"You can't go looking like that." Flo shook her head and threw some clothes at her cousin. "Here, these were supposed to be a birthday present but you could use them now."
"You were getting me peasant clothes for my birthday present?" The prince blinked down at them, confused.
"Yes. Go change, quickly." Flo shoved him towards the bathroom and went to the fireplace, gathering up some coal.
Blind Diamond emerged seconds later, tugging the shirt over his head. You whistled at the flash of his abs, giggling. He shook his head with a slight grin.
"Y/N is fine, since nobody knows what she looks like, but you're too recognizable." Flo said, handing him the coal. "You're going to have to dye your hair."
"It's not my fault I'm so pretty." He said smugly. "Wait, with this?"
"Yes, with that. And you need to lose the eye patch."
He stiffened slightly, opening his mouth to protest. Flo shot him a look and he slowly closed his mouth, starting to streak his hair black.
"Ooo, fancy." You remarked, tilting your head to the side.
When Blink was finished, he hesitated slightly before pulling off his patch and shoving it in his pocket, turning slightly away from your inquiring eyes.
"Lemme see? I like your profile but you can't distract me this time." You said with a soft tug on his arm.
He sighed slightly and turned to face you. Your fingertips darted up to gently run along the length of the scar that ran perpendicular to the eye patch, his eyelid scarred shut.
"Oh, poor baby." You murmured, gently ghosting your touch down his face. Darting up to your tiptoes you pressed your lips lightly against his eyelid.
He smiled a bit but gently pushed you away. "We have to go now."
"Where are we going?" You asked, yawning slightly. "I'm still sleepy."
"We're going to get you out, r'member?"
"Oh yeah. But you're gonna stay with me right?" You said, grabbing his hand.
"As long as I can." He replied, dropping his lips to your head.
"OOookay... they're getting closer, so I suggest you leave now." Flo said, stepping away from the window and opening up the veranda door.
"Come on Princess." Blind Diamond laced his fingers in yours, tugging you out. "Thank you, Flo," He turned to say.
"As payment, I request a wedding invitation. Now get out of here."
"Yes ma'am." He laughed a bit and turned to you. "Now if we get this right, Princess, we should be able to just walk out of here."
"We're like spies." You giggled.
"Yeah, sure, but don't say that when we're tryin'a sneak out of the palace okay?"
"Okay." You moved closer to him, wrinkling your nose slightly. "Your clothes don't smell very good."
"I'll get some new ones when we get to my ship, okay?" He said, pulling you towards a side of the gardens that was mostly shadowed.
"Okayy." You replied, skipping slightly. The voices of the guards grew louder, but Blink kept going. You reached the wall enclosing the gardens. The voices were nearly right on top of you now, and you could see the flickering torches the guards carried.
"Just go along with whatever I do, 'kay?" He murmured in your ear, spinning you around and up against the wall.
Your heart fluttered. Actually, it preformed a four step jig whilst juggling, but fluttered was the polite term. "Okay."
Blind Diamond hummed lowly, stepping forwards and effectively pinning you against the wall, bending his neck to place a strong kiss against your lips. You giggled a bit, immediately kissing him back and wrapping your arms around him, just in time too as the guards stormed past.
"Oi!" one called, seeing the two figures but unable to make much else out.
"Don't interrupt 'em, idiot," the other, with better eyesight, grumbled, elbowing his companion.
Blink pulled away from you, sweeping you behind him with an annoyed look on his face he barely had to feign and putting on a thick accent. "Aye, what's da big rush 'round da gardens for? Can't a man get some peace?"
"Name and why you're here, boy, we don't have time to play nice." The first guard barked.
"Galin. An' I'd think da palace guards'd have better eyesight." Blink jeered.
"What's your business in the palace?"
"I'm a gardener's boy, what d'ya think?" The prince gestured to his worn outfit. "You through with all ya questions now? It's my night off and you're wastin' it. I got betta things t' be doing."
"Oh, I'm sure." The guard scoffed as Blink glowered.
The second one shook his head. "You two can go. If you see the prince or the visiting princess, report it immediately."
"Them? What 'd they do that concerns the like o' us?"
"That's confidential." The guard said sternly. "You two be on your way now."
"Yessir." You and Blink mumbled in tandem, him wrapping his arms around you and leading you past the guards.
You could feel his smirk radiating off of him as he pulled you to the side gate, the servant gate of the palace.
"Easy as that, doll." Blind Diamond said. "They ain't suspicious now. If they'd caught us tryin'a sneak past they definitely would be."
"And I got to kiss you." You giggled. "But I'm still sleepy." You remembered, pouting up at him.
"You can rest soon, don't worry. We just gotta get down to the docks..."
