𝔜𝔬𝔲𝔯 eyes scanned the deck as you landed, looking for David mostly, and Blind Diamond possibly. You didn't see either, not until a voice sounded in your ear.

"You ever been to Ayzar, Princess?"

Okay, there was one. But where was the less annoying one? Another scan of the deck left you still stumped.

"Can't say I have, Captain." You replied, turning to face him and crossing your arms. He grinned at you, tilting his head in that familiar cocky manner.

"Oh, I do think you'll like it." He said, flicking some hair from his eyes and widening his grin.

"I'm sure. Where's my uncle?" You asked bluntly.

"Belowdecks. I'm afraid I can't have him join us; don't trust him not to run off unfortunately."

"But you trust me?" Your eyebrows raised, even though you knew you shouldn't draw his attention.

"Do you really want me to answer that, love?" He said with a smirk. "But I'll be keepin' an eye on you. And your uncle'll be here... don't think you're the type to leave him behind."

Little did he know... you felt horrible just for thinking it, but David had made you promise and you were smart enough to know that one of you had to get out.

You nodded, letting the slight disappointment you felt show on your face. "I see."

He smirked again, offering you his arm, which you took reluctantly, and leading you over to a longboat. "Princess," He said with a bow, and you clambered into the boat along with Crutchy, Mush, and a couple other pirates. Kid Blink slid in next to you, slightly closer than propriety dictated; but you couldn't even fault him, as it was a small boat.

The others on the ship lowered the boat over the side, and Mush and another boy grabbed the oars, pulling them into position and starting to row quickly towards the shore as soon as it hit the water.

The small dinghy jostled over the waves, and you shifted to avoid a spray of water, which had the unfortunate effect of bringing you closer to Blink. Thankfully, he said nothing, only a small chuckle escaping his lips, nearly unhearable over the wind and waves.

The momentary closeness saw you noticing that Blink was wearing clothes very similar to yours in color. His closely tailored shirt was the same dark blue as the paisley on your tunic, and his pants were black. Of course, black was black, with not much variety, but the blue was the same. You brushed it off as the fabrics available to the ship's tailors and scooted away again.

"Alright, Princess?" Blind Diamond said over the noise. You nodded as a spray of water skimmed over the boat.

"Fine," You replied, and he smiled. When Mush and the other boy stopped rowing, pulling up next to an iron ladder hanging from a dock, one of them tossed a rope around a post so the dinghy didn't drift off.

"What if someone tries to steal it?" You queried, raising an eyebrow at the small boat. You'd no idea who would want to, but still, someone might.

Blind Diamond smirked. "Nobody would. They know who it belongs to," He said, pointing at the name of the ship engraved on the boat.

This raised more questions than it answered, but the pirate was offering you his arm and turning you away, and it was just easier to go with at this point. You still had to be watching for the perfect opportunity to slip away. And as he led you along the docks towards the bustling market, the other members of his crew fanning out to go about their respective chores, you were sure it would be sooner than anticipated.
