*** Brian’s POV ***

I’d been driving for the entire day and the sun was starting to set outside. I gave a quick glance at my window, seeing the beautiful shore of California accompanying me on the ride. Annie and I had decided to spend our honeymoon in a quiet place with a beach, and we really didn’t need to go that far to find our spot. California had plenty of good beaches we could go to.

The slight sound of a yawn caught my attention, making me look at the girl next to me. I smiled at her and placed my hand on the exposed skin of her knee, stroking it with my thumb. “Hey pretty.”

“Hey..” She said with a sleepy voice as she rubbed her eyes. “Sorry for falling asleep.”

“Don’t worry about that.” Right after lunch she drifted off to sleep like a baby, probably because of the lack of rest last night. “You were very tired, uh?”

“Your fault..” She smirked lazily, covering my hand with hers. A small chuckle left my lips as I turned my attention back to the empty road in front of me.

“How much longer until we arrive?” She asked, now holding my hand completely and lacing our fingers together.

“Just a few more minutes.”

“Nice..” She leaned her head back on the seat and stared out of the window. It was hard for me to focus on the road, when all I wanted was to look at her beautiful face.

As I had told her, it didn’t take too much time for us to get to our destination. “Close your eyes.” I said, before we could reach the house. Her confused face diverted to me, but I just smiled.

“Really?”

“Yeah, come on..” She did as I said, but I could feel the curiosity consuming her body.

*** Annie’s POV ***

I didn’t understand why he had asked me to close my eyes, but I had to admit that I kind of liked this mystery. The car stopped moving, which meant that Brian had pulled over. “Can I open my eyes already?”

“No.. wait.” He pushed the door open and stepped out of the car, leaving me alone just for a brief moment. The cool air outside hit my face as Brian reached my side of the car and opened the door. “Here..” I felt his hand grabbing mine and then he pulled me up. “Don’t peek!” He warned.

“I won’t.”

“I’ll cover your eyes just in case.”

“Oh you don’t trust me!” I replied, throwing my bottom lip out as he placed his hand in front of my eyes. Chuckling, he kissed my pouty lips softly.

“It’ll worth in the end.” He said, leading me to what I thought it was the house we were going to stay, and making sure I wouldn’t stumble on something as we walked.

“What? You don’t trusting me?”

“No.. this.” He uncovered my eyes and I cracked them open, being immediately ravaged by this awesome sight of the sunset on the beach. Brian wrapped his arms around my waist from behind me and kissed my cheek. “You like it?” He asked, with that smile of his that makes me melt inside.

“It’s so beautiful..”

“Do you understand now how I feel each time I look at you?”

I giggled uncontrollably and turned around in his arms, locking my eyes with his. “You’re too cute.” His smile grew wider, before he bent down and captured my lips in his, kissing me slowly and sweetly, filling my stomach with butterflies like he only knew how. As we broke apart I hugged him around his neck, but no sooner did my eyes land on the house right in front of me than I let go of Brian again. “Is that our house?” I asked excitedly.
