*** Third’s POV ***

Brian stepped out of the car and walked towards the entrance, but before he could reach it he took a deep breath. A nice receptionist greeted him with a small smile.

“Good morning. What can I do to help you?” She asked as he approached the desk where the girl was.

“Good morning.” Brian said, replying the smile. “I was looking for a guy named McWrap.. I think.” He said a little hesitant. He didn’t know for sure if that was his name.

“Oh right. What’s your name?” She asked, ready to take note of that.

“Brian Haner.” She wrote it on a paper and grabbed the phone.

“Does he know you or are you coming for business?”

“Well.. he probably doesn’t know me by the name, but tell him it’s a personal subject.”

“Let me just make a call, okay?”

Brian nodded and waited for it, tapping his fingers on the table impatiently. He heard the girl talking to someone but he wasn’t paying attention at what she was saying. He was more concentrated on what hewas going to say once he saw Annie’s boss. He knew he had to control his anger and keep calm.

“He accepted talking to you.” The girl said, pulling Brian out of his thoughts.

“Oh nice. Ehm.. where do I need to go to meet him?”

“You go through that hall and it’s the second door at your right.” She told him with a smile.

“Thanks.”

Brian walked along the hall until he found the door. When he reached it, he knocked twice.

”Come in.” He heard from the inside. He breathed deeply, before opening the door. As soon as he saw Annie’s boss seated behind the desk his hands turned into fists, but he bit his tongue and tried to keep everything cool down.

“Oh you. If I knew it was you I would never let you in.” McWrap said with an obvious anger in his voice as he stood up from the seat, but never leaving the spot behind the desk.

“I know. I’m not happy to be here either but I felt the need to do it.” Brian said with the calmest voice he could.

“What will you do? Punch me again?”

“I’m just here to talk. I came in peace.” Brian raised his hands in defense.

“I doubt of that.” He mumbled through gritted teeth.

“Well, don’t.. I really just want to talk. Please.”

McWrap nodded. “Fine. Took a seat.” He pointed to an empty chair in front of his desk while he sat again in a big black and stuffed chair. Brian did as he said.

“So I can guess why you came here.. Annie Fuller.”

“You’re right. Listen..” Brian looked at the guy in front of him. “What’s really your name?”

“Greg McWrap.”

“Listen Greg, I know what you did in the day after our little.. incident.” Brian started.

“Of course you know. I bet she cried on your shoulder, saying I was the biggest bastard she’d ever known.” He said with a hint of disgust. Brian bit his tongue again to keep himself from saying something stupid.

“You’re so wrong about her. But that’s not what I’ve come here to discuss. The reason I’m here is that I think it was unfair taking her out of her investigation.”
