Chapter 2

"Oh, come on, Benjamin! We know that you did that on purpose. Tigilan mo na 'yan!" Chloe told me this as we are now heading to our favorite restaurant along the Capitol drive.

Ikinuwento ko sa kanila kung anong nangyari pagkatapos naming makita kung papaano habulin ni Chelsea si Lucas. I knew that they will get mad, but it's all done. We never tolerate each other when it comes to things like these, but I can't do anything about it now. I did what I did and I don't have any regrets. Sinumulan ko pero parang ako ang natatalo dahil sa mga ginagawa niya.

"Yeah, I did that on purpose, but this is just for a while. I'll stop once I was satisfied on taking revenge." Pag amin ko sa kanilang lahat.

"Hindi mo ba naisip kung papaanong pwedeng mangyari? Paano kung walang gustong magpatalo sa inyong dalawa?" Kayden, added. Yeah, my best friend got me here. Noong dati na high-school kami ay kasa-kasama ko siya sa mga ganitong bagay, ngayon ay hindi na. Nagmature siya, ako ay hindi.

"I don't know." Tipid kong sagot sa kaniya

"Wala kang mapapala dyan sa ginagawa mo tanga!" Jayden said. "Gumising ka sa katotoohan, bro! Hindi worth it pagtuunan ng pansin 'yang si Chelsea! Sa tagal na'tin magkakasama, hindi mo man lang ba naisip kung bakit hindi namin siya inaaya na sumama sa mga lakad natin palagi? Wake up, Benj!" Saad nito.

Out of all people in the group, Jayden, Chloe, and I are always the one who fights a lot. We are really close, but we always fought about a lot of things, like him being late and grumpy and me being a bully to him. Same goes with Chloe, how she fights the two us for stupid reasons, but more than all those fights, I can always see how we always cares on each of us when we are at the peak of something unusual in our lives.

That made me realized what I am doing. What they all said are true, I just didn't want to admit that to myself because I can't accept what she did to me. Pinagsabihan pa nila ako hanggang sa matapos kami sa pagkain. Dylan even offered to exchange our seat but I refused.

"Yeah, I promise you all okay! Titigil na ako." Pagsuko ko sa kanilang lahat dahil tama sila at napapagod na rin akong pakinggan ang lahat ng mga sinasabi nila.

Pero something in me is still pushing on planning to take revenge to that guy, but somehow, I've come to realized that maybe I'll stop. Ako naman talaga ang nagsimula pero let's still see. Baka magbago pa ang isip ko.

After we had our lunch, we never went back to the school dahil may meeting daw ang buong faculty and staff ng buong university regarding sa safety ng student. Wala naman kaming nababalitaan sa mga nangyari last academic year at nitong nagsimula ulit. Bahala sila sa buhay nila.

Tumambay nalang kami sa bahay ng Kambal hanggang sa tawagan ako ng magaling kong tatay para magdinner dahil bumalik na raw siya. Para namang papakinggan ko siya. Kung sana kaming tatlo lang ni Mommy kasama 'yung nakababata ko na kapatid, susunod ako agad pero siya? Wala akong pakialam sa kaniya.

I texted mom na hindi muna ako makakauwi ngayon dahil may biglaang group work ang kailangan namin na gawin. I even made Dylan my accomplice to this. I let Dylan talk to my mom that I'll go home in the morning. She was worried and skeptical but in the end she just approved.

My dad and I never really had that father and son moment. I witnessed how he cheated on mom every damn time. Hindi ko alam kung bakit ang lakas pa ng loob niya na bumalik sa bahay pagkatapos niyang mawala ng ilang buwan. It's just always the same cycle, manloloko siya, hindi siya uuwi ng ilang araw, kadalasan inaabot pa ng buwan, tapos kapag nahuli hihingi ng tawad. I don't even know what's with my mom, bakit lagi niyang pinapatawad 'yung taong ilang beses siyang ginago. Which made me think of something now. Why am I pleading to a girl who doesn't even see my worth? I plead. I did what I can, but in the end she still refused. Kawalan ko ba iyon? Hindi.

Once is enough. It's just the same thing over and over again. One day you'll get tired and live with regrets because of how you gave thousands of chances to them but in the end, they still do the same shit that they are not supposed to do. Tang ina nakakapagod.

But maybe she has reasons, maybe she's just doing it for Charles, he doesn't want him to grow without having one or maybe she really loves my father. In my case, manigas siya. I've had enough, kung si Mommy ay kaniya niyang magpatawad, ako ay hindi. Sawa na ako.

"Tara bro, inom tayo one bottle lang. Meron ka ba dyan?" I asked Kayden.

"Wala e bro besides tatlo lang tayo, boring uminom non. Sana kanina ka pa nag-aya para hindi na umuwi pa 'yung tatlo at sabay sabay nalang kayo bukas." Kayden replied.

"Baduy mo, tara Jayden, bili tayo!"

We headed down to the nearest convenience store along the city. It's already eleven in the evening. The lights along the plaza, mall and church are close but still everything feel so alive because maybe I am lonely and this is what I need. A time where I can clearly see no one except the people who's been with me since the beginning.

"Sagot ko na 'to kambal, ako na ang bababa." Pagprepresinta ko sa kanila.

I am now holding bottles of beer in my hands, some are in between my arms and body, ready to pay to the counter, but then I saw a familiar man deciding whether which size of cookies 'n cream ice cream will he choose, parang bata! Pupuntahan ko na sana siya para dumugin dahil wala lang pero bigla siyang humarap at ako ang nadumog dahilan para malaglag 'yung ilang bote ng beer na hawak ko.

"Anak ng, kailan mo ba ako titigilan? Hanggang dito ba naman tinatarantado mo 'ko?!" Galit na sigaw ko rito.

Agad na nagpunta yung staff at guard para tignan kung ano 'yung nangyari. I also saw the twins entering the store. Pumunta agad sila sa staff at kinausap ito.

I turn my eyes back into the one who's in front of me. He just gave me his blank face and boring look at saka inilapag sa freezer 'yung dalawang libo.

"O ayan, sobra pa tumahimik ka lang dahil para kang tanga." Sabi niya at saka ako tinalikuran para lumabas ng convenience store.

"Fuck you!" I cursed him. Wala na akong pakialam kahit pa pinagtitinginan na ako ng mga staff at iba pang namimili. "Tara sa labas at magsuntukan tayo!" Anger had already got into me. Kung kanina ay nagdadalawang isip akong ituloy na gantihan siya, ngayon ay desidido na ako. Wala na akong pakialam kahit magalit sa akin ang lima kong kaibigan. Magantihan lang kita ay ayos na ako.

"Nah, I'll pass. Sa ibang araw nalang napapagod na ako." Muli nitong tingin sa akin saka ito tumalikod at tinalikuran ako nang tuluyan. Mabilis akong kumilos at inilipag ang lahat ng gamit sa ibabaw ng freezer. Itinuro ko kay Kayden kung nasaan ang pinamili ko saka ako dali-dali na lumabas.

Pababa na sana siya ng hagdan pero hinawakan ko ang balikat niya at pwersahang iniharap sa'kin. With that, I felt that everything happened so fast. We stumbled upon the stairs making us both feel the pain of spinning around it until we fell into the ground.

I now realized that he is now on top me, between the both my legs with our lips meeting each other. What the actual fuck?
