Chapter 32

I woke up feeling the heaviness of my heart. Today's Sunday and I am now heading to work. Marami kaming gagawin na anim ngayong araw dahil matagal ang naging pag-liban namin sa trabaho. Paghahanda na rin sa malapit na kasal ng dalawa.

It's lunch time when I saw that Tita Angely is calling me.

"How are you Son? I've heard that you've contacted Zacchaeus. Have you bought your ticket?"

"I'm good, Tita and yes po, I already bought my ticket. How about you po, how are you? How's Zach, Ate Zenny and the kids po?

"Well, we'll go swimming tomorrow. Collin and Cathy wanted to do it since last week. Pinagbigyan na namin. Anyway, I heard Benjamin's there, is that true?"

"Yes, Tita. I'm just trying my best to win him back." I told her then I chuckled. 

"Then, why are you still planning to leave? Alam na ba iyan ng mga kaibigan mo?"

"Yes po. I told them earlier, ayaw pa ngang magsipayag pero wala rin silang nagawa."

"Just settle everything before you leave. The condo, your shared company, everything. Pero sagutin mo ang tanong ko, why are still leaving?"

"In case everything did not happened just like what I expected to. You know, I don't want to force him. That's not how love is."

The call went on and on. I talked to Zach and Ate. They are all really excited to see me especially my nephew and niece since we bond for a short time before they left. Our relationship became better when Daddy died. It's just a little sad because Dad will have to die for us to be like this and also, we did not have a chance to bond as a family like how I always wanted to, but now I think that they are trying their best to give me that dream. I am thankful that we have a chance to start over and forget everything that had happened to me growing up.

Natapos kami sa trabaho nang alas-otso at kumain lang kami sa labas bago tumulak. We told Benjamin to come with us, but he refused. He said that he's having dinner with his relatives. After that, I arrived at home before ten in the evening. I took shower and went straight to my bed and luckily in a long time, I fell asleep in an instant.

The next day, I accompanied Samantha and Dylan to go to Pinky's, but I did not expect that Benjamin will also be here.

"Why did you not tell me?" I softly asked Dylan.

"It's a surprise. Did you like it?" Muwestra pa ito ng mga nakataas na kamay.

"Ewan ko sa'yo."

Nakikipag-usap ang dalawa kay Pinky at sa iba pang stuff na kasama sa pagplano. Kami naman ni Benjamin ay naghihintay sa sofa na nasa malapit. Maliit lang ito kaya halos magkadikit ang aming katawan.

He smells so nice. Hindi ganito ang dati niyang amoy. Mas mabango ang ngayon. Ilapit ko kaya ang ilong ko sa leeg niya para mas maamoy ko nang maayos?

"What?" Nagtataka niyang tanong sa'kin dahil sa pagtitig ko sa kaniya.

"What?" Balik ko.

"Parang kang gago, bakit ka tumitingin?"

"Wala lang, masama?"

"Oo, wala kang karapatan!"

"Kapag ikaw pwedeng tumitig sa'kin, kapag ako bawal?"

"Kailan ako tumitig sa'yo?"

"Kapag nasa bibig mo ang akin." Saka ko siya nginitian habang tumataas ang kilay. Nakitang kong namula ang kaniyang mukha. Alam niyang napansin ko iyon kaya tumahimik siya at umiwas lang siya ng tingin. "Biro lang, Benj. Sorry." Pagbawi ko rito. What I said made him really uncomfortable. Ang bobo ko lang dahil masyado ko nang ipinapalagay ang loob ko sa kaniya na parang walang nangyari sa aming dalawa kaya kami humantong sa ganito.
