It was Saturday afternoon and Jai'lani laid on her bed scrolling through her phone along with Carlos,Bianca and her two other best friends Javen and Nova and Nova's cousin Toya. They were all off of work and were hanging out passing time until it was time to hit up a party later that Carlos had invited them to.

"So Jai you gonna tell us about this nigga you been fucking with?"Nova asked locking her phone turning her attention towards Jai'lani

"Who?"Jai'lani looked up from her phone over at her"Devion?"

"Nah the other one you told me about"She said causing Carlos and Javen's heads to snap in her direction

"What dude?"Carlos asked wondering why this was the first time he was hearing anything about another guy "And why I ain't know about this?"

"Some guy who asked for my number"She looked at Carlos letting him know it wasn't anything important" And Nothing. We hung out a few times and talk here and there"Jai'lani shrugged not wanting to go into too much detail because although she was cool with Nova she didn't trust Toya enough to spill any tea in front of her. Especially about any boy. She was a strong believer that you can't tell everyone your business no matter how close ya'll are. "Ain't much too tell"

"Girl that's all you gonna give us? Not any names or anything?"Toya asked her trying to get more information. "What he look like?"

"Ya'll don't need any of that"Jai'lani shrugged going back to her phone ignoring everyone around her

"Rude"Toya rolled her eyes picking her phone back up scrolling through it with a full attitude

"Damn Toya. Fuck you getting an attitude for? If she don't wanna say none she don't have to"Bianca said not liking her attitude towards her Jai'lani

"Don't nobody got an attitude. She ain't that intrersting"Toya waved Bianca off and Bianca chuckled

"Toya chill"Nova told her cousin trying to deescalate the situation before it became something more.  

"Not that interesting but you sure as hell seem interested on who I'm fucking"Jai'lani laughed lifting her head a bit looking over at Toya

"Bitch don't flatter yoself"Toya rolled her eyes "Niggas you pull be ugly anyways"She laughed to herself flipping her hair over her shoulder

"That's why you was tryna fuck with Devion? Cause he ugly?"Bianca asked making Nova snap her head at her cousin. This was the first time she ever heard of this and wasn't liking it one bit because it was making her look bad in front of her friends.

"Girl don't nobody want that nigga"Toya scoffed 

"That's not what I seen. All up in his DM telling him to drop me. Yeah he showed me"Jai'lani laughed shaking her head at how sad Toya was going out.

Jai'lani didn't like confrontation anymore because she worked so hard to learn to control herself. She didn't want some nobody to mess up all the hard work she's done to get her anger under control. But she wasn't about to let nobody disrespect her

"You tryna fight or some? Cause you sure as hell getting bold with yo peoples around"Toya got up from the bed causing Nova to hop up trying to control her

"Toya stop all that shit"Nova warned but Toya wasn't listening to anything she was saying.

"Nah see I always been bold I just been sparing you. Don't need an army baby. Ask about me"Jai'lani smirked sending her a wink going back to her phone. She honestly wasn't a bit worried about Toya.
