Jai'lani stood in the middle of her now empty room not believing that this was really happening. She was really leaving the place she grew up in.

"You got everything?"Her mother asked walking in looking around to feeling herself getting a little emotional

"I think so"Jai'lani sighed looking at the women who she's been calling mother for the past few years

"I'm so proud of you baby girl"Her mother smiled pulling her into a hug "You've grown so much and I love it"

"It wouldn't have happened without you and dad"Jai'lani knew that if it wasn't for her foster parents none of this would've been possible

"Hey Jai!"Carlos yelled out as he walked into her room with Jarod right behind him "Oh shit am I interrupting something?"He asked looking at Jai'lani and her mom

"You're good"Jai'lani's mother smiled at him before kissing Jai'lani's cheek "I have to get ready for work. Have fun tonight okay"With that her mother walked out of her room leaving her with Carlos and Jarod

"We finished loading all the boxes. You need anything else?" Jarod asked walking further in joining Jai'lani in the middle

"I decided to end everything with him"Jai'lani shrugged "We're both in two different parts of life and after what happened with our baby I no longer want to waste my time on someone who isn't just about me no more"
