Ranboo's POV:

There was a knock at the door. I opened it. "Hey!"

"Hey!" Everyone said back, and I welcome them in. I took a large bowl of salad off of Niki and found it a place in the refrigerator. Joining them all in the garden, I helped Tubbo sort out drinks. Wilbur was still trying to sort out the music and managed to finally get it to work. Small chats started up, Jack came over to me.

"Where's the child?"

"Oh uh, he, Phil and Techno went to get some last minute things from the store."

"Oh okay." We continued the conversation and after a bit I excused myself and went in to get another drink.

Whilst in the kitchen, I heard another car pull up onto the drive. Forgetting about my drink, I sprinted towards the door and opened it. Techno was laughing with Tommy who was having a piggy back from him, and Phil was balancing some shopping bags.

"Hey Ranboo. He's alright, no need to worry."

"Okay, Yea Tubbo explained, so he might want to explain it to you and Techno."

"Hey Ranboo!"

"Hey Tommy!"

"Sorry for scaring you, just felt like going on a run."

"It's fine, Tubbo explained it to me."

"Alright Tech, you can put me down if you like."

"I'd very much prefer that, also Thomathy, my name?"

"... is tech. Thank you for clarifying, haha! Hey, you know you love me. Everyone does me, especially woman."

"Meh."

"Hahahaha!" Phil just chuckled lightly and quickly moved past me, into the kitchen where he put some of the food away. I ended up helping, while Tommy went outside to see everyone and Techno went upstairs for a bit.

"So uh, he's alright."

"Yep, Tubbo needs to just explain to me and Techno, but he's absolutely fine Ranboo."

"Okay, well I'm going to go out and talk to everyone."

"Let them know I'll be out in a minute."

"Will do!"

I entered the garden where a few people had got into the pool, namely Jack and Wilbur. Niki, Minx and a load of the others were simply sat on the edge of the pool with their legs dipped into it, I joined them. Tommy and Tubbo were stood manning the barbecue and everyone was having a good time.

Tommy's POV:

"So, you flip this one now because it's had a few minutes on that side."

"Okay." I held the spatula thingy carefully, trying my best to get the right angle and flip the burger patty in one piece. I failed miserably, it falling apart mid-flip.

"Well, I guess that burger is your's then," I laughed a little as he said it, mostly just frustrated with myself. "Hey it's alright. This one needs flipping too and this one. I'll show you how I do it, and then just try again." I smiled at him and nodded.

I studied him doing it (I would have taken notes if I had a notepad), and them tried to for myself. When it went well, which surprised me, Tubbo and I high-fived and continued doing the rest of the barbecue.

Jack got out the pool after a bit and came over to do all the vegan and vegetarian options. Neither Tubbo nor I were too sure what to do with either of them. And worried that some people may not eat if we messed it up, neither of us wanted to take the chance. Jack laughed at us but we didn't care. We weren't going to be the ones to blame if it went wrong (which unfortunately it didn't). It would have been funny if Jack messed it up because it wouldn't have been mine or Tubbo's fault.

To be my fair to my cooking, the deconstructed burger was actually good. I have burgers with cheese and ketchup and both of those things managed to keep the mess of meat mostly between the 2 buns. I liked it, and from the compliments Tubbo, Jack and I got, everyone else must have liked it too. I finished my food quickly, hoping to go swimming before it go too dark but despite it still being pretty light outside, I decided against it. I wanted to spend time hanging out with my friends, singing along to the music loudly and all talking to one another. This is what I had wanted America to be like since the beginning, it just never really happened that way. Now I was just happy it was.

As the sun went down and we all got a little colder, we moved inside. It was cool. We all drank and had snacks and talked. I put my crew neck on from where I had left it on the back of the sofa and just chilled. I didn't mask, I was myself and everyone liked me for myself. Fundy didn't get drunk like he did last time and I wasn't really anxious. We worked out a way to get YouTube on the tv in the lounge and put Wilbur's music on. I've got a little video of us all singing your new boyfriend, laughing and jumping about. Not on my phone, in my head. It's a memory, and it's awesome. It makes me feel like crying happy tears because finally, I've found a group of people who like me for me and I enjoyed spending time with them. They are all really cool, and they make me feel cool too. For someone else, it may have not meant so much, but hey I've not always had friends, so when you've got some of the best ones in the world. How can you not feel overwhelmed with happiness and gratefulness?

It got later and later and as we all got tired, people started getting themselves together and getting ready to go back to their's. The only person missing was Techno. And I had completely forgotten he was even in the house. I went upstairs to go to the toilet quickly. After I had finished (and yes, I washed my hands), I looked into Wilbur's room. If Techno needed some time to himself, Wilbur had always offered his room.

I knocked. "Techno?"

"Yea?"

I opened the door gently and took one step in, the light was on but the curtain was shut. He was sat on the edge of Wilbur's bed, laptop resting on his lap. He looked up at me. "They are all leaving now, so you know?"

"Yea thanks for telling me."

"You alright?" I sat done on Wilbur's bed next to him.

"Yea fine, just chilling. Social battery was on 0% and I had some things to catch up on."

"I understand, sometimes socialising is more pain than enjoyment and you just can't force yourself."

"Yea. How about you? You alright?"

"Happy. I've got some good friends, and I had a good time tonight. Everything is kinda falling into place."

"That's good, I'm happy for you."

"Well last time I said that it ended up going badly again, but it feels good this time."

"If it does go wrong, we'll fix it or help it be a little better. We are here for you Tommy."

"I know, that's why I am happy about having good friends!

"Ok then."

"Well, I'm going to get some sleep. Night techno."

"Night Tommy." He looked back down at his laptop and I closed the door as I left.

I got my pajamas on and quickly went downstairs to say goodbye. My pajamas weren't that different from my day clothes anyway so it wasn't a big deal. I sat in my bed just scrolling through my phone. I went back and watched some of my old comfort videos. Not because I needed the comfort but because I just liked watching them. It was late when I had gone up to bed and it was even later when I finally went to sleep but hey, we weren't doing anything interesting the next day and 2:00 am wasn't even that late.

A/n Hey. Thank you so much for reading. Just so you know, Tommy's backpack was left in the car for a plot point. It will make sense in the next America part which will be out when I stop writing other oneshots and finally work it out, haha. Anyway, thanks for all the support, 12k reads is absolutely insane! Also, thanks for all the support on the 10k special, I'm glad you all enjoyed. Hope you enjoyed and have an amazing day.

Thank you,
