Tommy's POV:
A song finished, moving onto another and I remembered that a world around me did actually exist. I felt very light, a bit like I was floating but the feeling left after I closed my eyes and looked around. I sighed and stood up from the sofa. I walked into the kitchen to see Phil had fallen asleep at the dining table. It looked very uncomfortable but he had been awake for ages. I didn't really blame him. I just felt bad for making him stay up. Trying to convince myself that he did it for a valid reason, really wasn't working. I checked the time on my phone. It was getting close to 8 am. I had been in my head for a few hours at least. My eyes were sore, but I didn't feel tired.
"Morning Tommy." I turned round to see Kristen stood behind me, still in her pajamas.
"Oh um morning." I whispered back.
"You alright?"
"Yea, I'm alright thanks. What about you?"
"I'm good. Now, do you want a hot drink? Tea? Coffee? Hot chocolate?"
"Am I allowed a coffee please?"
"Of course you are. I'll wake sleepy head up and then put the kettle on."
"Is there anything I can do to help?"
"No you're fine." I looked back at her anxiously. I think she understood what I was trying to say. "I'll fine you a job in just a second Tommy."
"Thanks Kristen." She ruffled my hair as she walked past me and woke up Phil.
Kristen's POV:
It was evident that something was still bothering Tommy. Whether it be he was anxious about something or not, I didn't know. But I would try my best to help.
"Phil love, wake up." I shook his shoulder gently.
"What's happened?"
"Nothing has happened. I'm up now, so you can go upstairs and get some proper sleep."
"Is Tom okay with that?"
"Yea, it's fine Phil. I trust Kristen." I smiled back at the younger, proud that he felt safe and accepted around me.
"Right, I'll think I'll get some sleep then." He rested his head back down on the dining table. I pulled his chair out away from the table, forcing him to sit up. "Fine, upstairs I go." He rolled his eyes sleepily at Tommy, making him burst out into laughter. Giving me a kiss, he went to go upstairs.
"Hey, you won't need that." I took his coffee mug from his hands and placed it down in the kitchen.
"Thanks, wake me up in an hour."
"I will wake you up when you are needed." I smiled at Tommy showing him I was most definitely joking, and he giggled lightly.
"Right Tommy, I need 2 mugs out of that top cupboard." I pointed to one on the other side of the kitchen. Small jobs. The more small jobs I gave him, and chances to just be around me, the easier it would be for him. But also, treating him like an adult and not a kid.
"Kristen can I ask you something?"
"Yep."
"What are we doing later today?"
"I think the plan was to go out to dinner to a restaurant."
"Oh okay, that sounds nice."
"It might be a little hangover permitting, but I see no reason for us not to go."
"Have you or Phil ever been to the restaurant before?"
"Yes, it's a really nice place. We've been with some of Phil's family."
