TW-swearing (bleeped)

Tommy's POV:

Ranboo and I talked about whatever came to our minds as we sat on that beach. Tubbo kept well, being himself and his dad had been called so that he knew to come pick us up in an hour or so. The hour went by quickly, much quicker than it felt. And before long, Ranboo got a text that Tubbo's dad was only a few minutes away.

"Tubbo!" I shouted, beckoning him back over. He galloped in a sort of odd way, putting his arms out like he was some kind of airplane. "Your Dad is coming to pick us up, he's nearly here."

"I'm not going."

"Come on man, let's get back and eat something."

"But I don't want to go."

"We've been here for an hour or so already."

"Not long enough."

"Come on Tubbo."

"No!" Ranboo looked at me, and we both knew it was about to get a little bit harder.

"Tubbo, we can stay for a bit longer until your dad gets here. We aren't going just this minute."

"Aaaaaaaaah!"

Ranboo got up and stood beside him, offering a hug. "You're okay. Let's just calm down."

"F-CK OFF!"

"Okay. I'll leave you be for a minute, I'm going to be sat with Tommy if you need either of us."

I began getting my things together, looking at Tubbo's jumper and shoes with socks in on the sand. He whoever was stood looking out to sea, hands shaking by his sides, fingers twisting -and just because of the angle I could see him at- his face screwed up tightly. I felt bad, we could have just left him, he was happy. And now he was angry. And now I was worried.

"Why do we have to go?" I asked.

"Because if we don't leave now, we will be having this conversation later. And if we don't leave later, we never will."

"Don't get philosophical on me Ranboo. You knew what I was trying to say!"

"I did know. But there isn't an answer to your question, unless it's a philosophical one. Because there is no good answer Tommy!"

"I just-"

"I get it don't worry. You just learn to get used to it I guess."

"Or you learn to get philosophical because there isn't any other way to deal with it?" A small nod in return, I just sighed.

Tubbo came and sat at my side, looking at the floor and rocking back and forth. I sat there quietly, entirely unsure of what to say and not wanting to say something that might mess everything up.

"Go."

"Yea, we can go right now. You're Dad is just around the corner. So you just need to get your shoes on." Without looking at me, eyes trained to the horizon, Tubbo pulled his socks and shoes back on. "I can carry your jumper if you'd like." He nodded passing it over to me.

"Would you like a hug Tubbo?"

"Hmm." He walked over to Ranboo, but made it clear from his body language that he definitely didn't want a hug. I trailed behind as they started walking up to the car park.

Once I had caught up, Ranboo stood on us phone, trying to work out exactly where Tubbo's dad was. "I'm sorry for shouting."

"It's okay, you were having a meltdown, you couldn't control it."

"Yes, but it's humiliating. I act like some stupid little kid."

"Well, I understand Tubbo. And I don't think you were acting like some stupid little kid."

"Of course you don't. Because you know I'm autistic. But to everyone else, I'm some bratty kid. And I'm not even a kid anymore!"

"I get it."

"But you just don't Tommy!" I looked up towards Ranboo who was aware that he probably needed to step in to resolve the situation, before it turned south again.

"Do you want a hug Tubbo?"

"Yes please," he mumbled before burying himself in Ranboo's chest and holding shaky breaths.

"It's okay. Let's just get home and order dominoes."

"I'm not sure I want dominoes."

"Well, we can have whatever you want?"

"I'm not very hungry."

"Okay, we'll see what we can do." Ranboo continued the hug, looking towards me. We both knew that Tubbo would want a pizza anyway, sometimes his brain was so overwhelmed that the thought of food could make him sick, and he just needed a break to get back on track.

A car pulled up beside us, and Tubbo's Dad hopped out of it, running towards us. "Come on let's get you three home. Toby do you want to go in the front?" Tubbo nodded sheepishly, going round the other side with Ranboo, whilst I got in the back. Ranboo then joined me in the back of the car, and we both talked quietly to Tubbo's dad as we went back to his house. We were both worried about our friend, but tried to stay calm.

Tubbo kept his AirPods in and listened to music the entire time, looking out the window and with his leg jittering so much it might as well just cause an earthquake. Once back at Tubbo's, his dad kept Ranboo and I behind. "Now I trust you two to help, and understand him. But if either of you feel overwhelmed by it all, or don't think you can do it. Just come get me or his mum, don't feel like it's all done to you, okay?" I nodded, Ranboo speaking up.

"Of course, but we've got this. Don't worry."

"I don't worry when he's with you two. I'll leave you all to it now."

"Thanks, bye!" Ranboo answered, walking into the front door of 'our house' and trying to find Tubbo. The door leading to the garden was left wide open. I rested his jumper on the sofa, and saw his air pods too. They probably cut out, because his phone was in his jumper, which I was holding. I checked outside quickly and saw Tubbo swinging on the swing, ear defenders on instead. He didn't seem happy like he did earlier, or off in his own world. He seemed upset, but like he was working through it and just wanted some time to himself. I closed the back door to, making sure it didn't lock Tubbo out, before walking into the kitchen where Ranboo was.

"We can order food in a bit, you want a drink?"

"Sure king."

"What do you want king?" Ranboo said, hiding a smile.

"Oh shut up!" I laughed, sitting myself up on the kitchen counter. "I'll have a coke." He grabbed one from the fridge and passed it to me, before getting himself a can of sprite.

"We could stream tomorrow, find a stupid board game to play or something. Or bake a cake? Something funny?"

"Sounds like fun, depends if Tubbo wakes up early enough for us to sort it out. He always sleeps loads after meltdowns."

"That's Tubbo for you. And it's better than him getting burnt out after it builds up, cause then he sleeps for like 3 days."

"I'm almost impressed he can sleep for so long."

"Honestly, so am I."

Tubbo appeared at the kitchen door. "I'll have a cheese pizza please."

"Sure king." I replied.

"So what's up boss men?" Tubbo asked, joining me on the kitchen counter. We sat talking for an hour or so before realising it was later than we had remembered, and ordering dominoes. The evening consisted of watching stupid movies that had a higher budget than they deserved and just pointing out mistakes and stupid things. It was nice. We all went to bed happy, and that was even nicer.
