Tommy's POV:

We were trying to work out what to have for dinner. But everything was too much and I didn't even know what I wanted to do anymore. I just wanted to go to sleep? No, I wasn't tired. I just wanted to go home? No, I wanted to stay and have fun with my friends. I just wanted to be okay? Yea, maybe that was it. But I don't know.

"What if we have takeaway tonight and we go out for lunch tomorrow? That sound like an alright idea?" Wilbur turned to me as he said it, encouraging me to make my decision. Put I couldn't even look at him, and I couldn't say anything either. I just felt everything boiling up inside me and there was nothing I could do. There were tears forming in the corners of my eyes. I just didn't know.

"You're alright mate." Phil came over to me where I was stood at the dining table, crouching down at my side. "It's okay if you can't decide right now, but can you try tell us what you're thinking so we can help?" I just burst into tears, everything was too much and I didn't know.

"Take some nice, deep breaths Tom." Between tears I took those breaths, blubbering about the fact I didn't know, and flapping my hands about in frustration.

"Hey, Tommy look at me." I looked up with teary eyes to the person's chest. It was Techno's. "You're okay, I promise. Would you like a hug?" I shoved my face into his chest and felt his arms rubbing up and down my back. He rested his head on mine and rocked us from side to side slightly. I felt safe. Not calm, definitely not calm. But safe, like Techno wouldn't let anything hurt me.

Wilbur's POV:

It was tough to see Tommy so upset, and yet unable to communicate about what he was thinking. Techno managed to get Tommy to hug him and that would mean the start of the calming down process. But we were all nervous about how Tommy was going to be feeling. I gestured to Phil that would should step out the room for a moment, just to talk and after Techno nodded, saying it was okay, Phil and Kristen followed me out and closed the door behind them.

"When he's calmer, I'll talk to him. But otherwise I suggest pizza and a Disney movie night?"

"Yea, but if he's like this at the house, what's it going to be like if we go out somewhere?"

"He's Tommy, we've been loads of places and he's been fine. Maybe he's just having a bad day. This is his first time meeting Techno in real life as well. And whilst he seems to be getting on with him just fine, I know how nervous Tommy has been about all of this."

"Does he normally not talk like that?"

"Yea Kristen, Tommy goes non-verbal, but you probably knew that already." I cursed myself for not remembering that Kristen used to work with autistic kids.

"Yea I know the non- verbal stuff but normally he talks all the time. I never thought that Tommy would be like that."

"Mostly when he's anxious, isn't he Will?"

"Yea, Tommy goes quiet when he's anxious, I'm almost surprised he talked to you so much earlier from the sounds of it, but also he was probably masking. And masking makes him tired. There we go, that was probably the combination. He woke up overwhelmed, had a change of routine with me not being here, masked all day which made him tired and then didn't eat much; it's everything that normally leads to him being like this. To him having a meltdown I guess."

"He was so anxious earlier and I just see the effect it was all having on him. But he seemed to stop masking as the day went on, after I reminded him that it was fine to stim, he did so. He went outside and paced a little. Did it all just build up instead of actually getting better?"

I nodded, smiling weakly and looking back to the door for the room where Tommy and Techno were. "Let's go see if he wants pizza."

"Yea, and I'm sure he will. That kid loves pizza." We laughed lightly.

Tommy was sat on a dining table chair, Techno sat on one next to him, with his phone out, playing a game with Tommy. I pulled out a chair and sat on the other side of the younger, "what game are you playing?"

Tommy looked at Techno for an answer, "downloaded Tetris quickly. And turns out someone is better at it then he let on."

"Tetris? Hmmm, I used to play that when I was younger." I lied, searching for a common ground so that I could build off it and hopefully get Tommy communicating with me in some way.

"What was your high score?" His speech unaffected and that was a little strange for Tommy after getting upset like that, but I decided to keep going.

"My high score?" The child nodded. "Oh I don't remember that, you see I'm an old man, getting into those late 20's now, but I was pretty good."

"You can play." He shoved Techno's phone into my hands and I gave it a quick go. Claiming I was rusty after getting a low score.

"What do you think about pizza for tea?"

"I like pizza."

"Good, I think everyone else likes pizza too."

"I want to see what British pizza is like, I'm interested."

"It's good Tech." Tommy keep his eyes on the phone screen as he spoke.

"Is it? Well, I'll wait to find out for myself. Phil you ordering?"

"Yea I'll do it now, do you want to see the menu Techno?"

"Sure, but pizza's pizza right?"

Time skip because this next bit is funny:

"SORRY WHO PUTS MAYO ON THE PIZZA?! WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND?" We all laughed as Techno screamed his head off about pizza options.

"I mean it's weird, but not as weird as America." Tommy commented.

"Okay, leave my country out of this you child."

"I'm not a child! Okay, Tetris boy."

"Hey! Here you can have your phone back then."

"Thanks."

"Tommy and Will, once Techno's got what he wants, can you 2 come over and just add it to the delivery on my phone?"

"Will do Phil. I'm just going upstairs quickly." Tommy disappeared upstairs as I typed in my order. 2 minutes he came down to type his in, this time, holding a sensory toy. I smiled at him and he smiled straight back at me.

Another time skip just because:

We were watching the lion king, which essentially meant singing along with parts of it and repeating characters lines at each other, which was all very funny. And there, the entire time, Tommy was joining and fiddling with a sensory toy. And whilst eating pizza, same thing. Having an amazing time and just mucking around, but still sensory toy in his hand. And whilst it seems like nothing, Tommy didn't use sensory toys when he was overwhelmed, he used them when he was anxious. I just hoped that because I was here this time, he would come and talk to me if he saw it fit.

A/n Hey. Thank you so much for reading. I'm sorry if anyone is upset at the 3 day breaks between uploads, but I still want you guys to get stories despite me being so busy. But with Christmas coming up, it is possible that uploads may increase again as I have more time, I will keep everyone updated. Also, as always requests are welcome. I'm working on one right now, with George not found as autistic, so if you requested that, know that it is coming soon. Anyway, hope you enjoyed and have the best day ever!

Thank you,
