"I've never-" your body sways as Hasten reaches out, and helps you towards his bed. "I've never had that happen before." You state, trying to make light of the situation at hand.

"That's a powerful thing to be messing with Em." You pause when he uses his nickname for you. It's been so long since you've heard him speak your name,

"Hasten..." you say breathlessly, finding speech difficult. He keeps his vision focused in front of him, as if refusing to look at you.

"I don't mean to-" You feel the soft fabric of Hastens bed, and welcome the comfort and warmth the bed brings.

"Rest." Hasten says, keeping you from speaking further. You lay still, a million things buzzing inside your head. You feel the exhaustion from your body and close your eyes.

There's so much you need to tell him, and there really is no time to sleep.

You quickly reopen your eyes, not aware that time has passed.

You can tell from the curtains it's still night, and you're no longer feels drained, but still tired from the suggestion you used earlier.

You tilt your head to the side, noticing Hasten is beside you, eyes closed, and looking rather peaceful. You are able to see clearly in the dark, as if the moon were shining brightly across the room.

You look at Hastens features, admiring the beauty you seemed to have ignored for the past couple of years. He doesn't seem as menacing as he did before, almost as if his face has softened. You find your hand, unbeknownst to you, reaching out, and tracing his features delicately.

"You're being a creep." He announces as your body jump from his interruption. He gives you a confused look, "What? Did you think I wouldn't notice?" his question makes you smile as you burying your face deeper into the pillows on the bed. You remember how Etelms bed was full of pillows, and shiver, glad that Hasten only kept a necessary amount on his bed.

You turn over, so you are facing the ceiling, releasing a small breath, "Do you remember when I called you a monster?" you say innocently as he gives you a dour look, "I'm sorry." He turns his head to face you, looking taken back by your sentence, than mildly impressed.

"I should have never compared you to the Nybras or Vetis. I had no idea how terrible they are. I understand why you reacted the way you did."

You look off into the distance, "I never imagined that someone could be so vile."

You say, having the memories of the past flood inside your mind, taking over your senses. You take a deep breath, turn to face Hasten and smile sheepishly, "I missed you."

He watches you carefully, as if waiting to hear a punchline.

"I never thought I would miss you. If you told me 6 months ago that I would miss you, I would have laughed. No offense." You add the last part, as he did looked quite offended, "Thank you?" he questions, not sure if he should take that as a compliment.

"Hasten, I'm serious. I thought that was it for me. I lost someone very close to me." You say quietly as Hasten face falls flat, his gaze stuck on you, "He's gone now." You mumble quietly, the urg to cry coming on strong, but the tears refuse to come, you have been crying a lot lately. Your body jumps when Hasten grabs it, pulling it in closer, embracing you.

"I'm aware of what your 'ghost' has done for you." He speaks calmly, as if he has to be careful with his words, "Though I am not pleased about the secrets you held, I can overlook this indiscretion. What the ghost has done for you, I am grateful."
