I'm Being Stalked By A Ghost & Hunted By A Vampire

Part Seventeen

It's been a while since you started living with the vampires. It's now the middle of January and Alex still hasn't spoken to you, let alone look at you. 

Avent's good company for the situation. He seems carefree and frivolous which is a nice difference when, compared to Hasten and your brother. Hastens control has been terribly unpleasant. 

You're beginning to slowly lose your mind not being able to decide your own actions, thoughts, and emotions. He knows every thought you have, it's such a violation of your rights. However, you guess Hasten doesn't care about your rights. 

You spend most of your time inside the room where you first woke up. 

The house you are in is a decent size cabin type, with a modern feel, on the outskirts of Bathory. You missed Christmas but that is not a big issue considering your situation.

You have no idea of the exact date but you are aware it's January. You feel drained of energy and ready to concede. What's the point of quarreling when he can force his will upon you. 

You are, what they call 'Accessory' in the vampire world. It's some kind of hold over a person's body that allows full control over the human. Vampires use it to make the human literally an accessory.

You've been investigating the control of Accessory and have noticed a technicality. He can only read the surface thoughts. If you focus your attention on meaningless things, you can hide your real intentions, but it's difficult. You need to work on controlling your emotions. 

It's more challenging than you thought, not used to having someone acknowledging every mental state you're in makes it difficult to control your thoughts. It taking time but eventually you will become better.

You haven't heard anything about your friends since late November. You wonder how they are doing, Hasten told you the whole reason behind his vicious attacks on your life. Ryan killed someone close to Hasten and he was getting his revenge. 

He can blame Ryan all he wants but you know that Hasten is the only one responsible for his actions. The only thing you're sad about is that Ryan kept you in the dark.

How could he not inform you about something as important as supernatural beings? If you had known maybe things would have turned out differently, maybe your mother would still be alive, and Alex human. 

You haven't heard from Eire since that night in the alley with all your friends. You are beginning to wonder if he just abandoned you.

You lay on your bed after a terrible night's sleep. You've been having trouble sleeping. Your new life is taking a toll on you. At this rate you feel like you will die of exhaustion. You think about the night Hasten explained more about Accessory.

Flash back

Hasten has you sitting in his lap stroking your hair softly as you both watch the news in the living room. The leather couches are terribly cold to sit on and Hastens cold body is not any better.
