Let's start this.

Avent's POV

You watch as Hasten comes back, anger seeping from every pore as Alex and Sven follow carefully behind. They look like a mess, but you have no doubt that they caught the Nybras.

You wonder how Emi will handle the news of her friend's demise. You do not want to be the one to inform her.

You know it is for the best, Nybras only get worse with time. Their hunger is never satisfied, and their existence is rather pathetic. Death is better in this case.

"How was the hunt?" You ask as Alex takes a seat beside Solaris, while Sven sat down with Rumor, leaving you all by your lonesome.

"Terrible. Tracking him was a bitch, but when we finally caught him, he seemed desperate to die." Alex said, looking bothered by the situation.

"His last lucid moment." Sven spoke up as you listened closely, finding the situation very interesting. "He begged us to end his life..." Alex says his lips tight and brows pressed together, looking disturbed.

"He chose death over eternal life. A true hunter, through and through." You raise a glass in his honour, as Hasten enters the living room looking around.

He pauses, looking around the room, than at you. "Where is Emi?" you place you glass down, leisurely waving your hand in the directions of the bedrooms, "She wanted to be alone, so she's in her room."

Hasten gives you the most incredulous look you have ever seen. "YOU-WHAT?!" You watch as Hasten runs to her room. You get up in alarm, wondering why until it dawns.

You, Alex, and Solaris walk into Emi's room, the only signs of life would be Hasten rushing about, looking for her. He turns back towards you, looking unimpressed, to the point where his eyes practically flash a deep shade of red.

"I'm sorry. I never thought that she would leave."

Hasten lets out a low growl, looking enraged.

"Alex!" Solaris announces as she points to Emi's brother. "You have to know their 'usual spot' right?" Alex shakes his head, "No I don't, they hung out in a lot of different places, how am I supposed to know which ones? That could be anywhere in Bathory."

"We could ask Rumor?" you suggest, wondering if Hasten could ever ask Rumor for assistance.

"Did someone say my name?" Rumor peeks around from the corner, smiling calmly towards Hasten.

"Do you want me to track down a certain someone?" he plays coyly, knowing exactly what we need.

"If you can keep a tab on Emi, why didn't you inform us she was leaving?" Solaris accuses as you nod your head, agreeing with her question.
