"He was such a nice young man, always considered others feelings, he was a star pupil, with goals in life, he was going somewhere!"

You start to get the feeling that you are at the wrong memorial service, since your brother happened to be none of those things.

Even though he is dead, there is no need to lie; he was a complete ass to everyone at this school.

"Emi, I'm so sorry about what happened to your brother!" you look at the girl in front of you, she has dark brown hair, stops right at her neck, she's pretty tall, standing at 6'2 you assume, her choice of outfit is simple, a tight black long sleeve shirt, along with dark jeans.

"It's ok" She gives you a hug and walks away. This seem to be the routine of the day as everyone in your school has seem to hug and apologize for your loss.
By the end of the day you just wanted to get out of there, it was too depressing. You were there when they opened up Alex's locker.

You felt terrible when you came across a picture your mother had taken of you two together at the beach, you had no idea he even had that in his locker.

You walk out of the front doors of the school and sigh, your backpack is extremely heavy since all of Alex's things are packed inside. You look around and realize you don't know what to do, normally one of your friends offers you a ride, but since the memorial has messed up the school day you are left alone.

                              'I guess I'm walking today'

As you walk down the sidewalk you begin to feel hungry, since you haven't been able to eat much as of late. You decide to stop at a café. You order a peppermint latte and take a seat at a bistro style table.

                               Things are getting difficult.

Alex has been cremated. The cause of death was a punctured artery. They have no idea how he ended up at Ryan's front door. The police lost their shit deciding to give you a curfew.
You are now under lockdown and need to be home before sun down, under the surveillance of the Whites . They believe your life is officially in danger and won't be taking any chances.
You sigh and take a sip of your beverage. Alex's ashes will be buried with your mothers in a couple of days.

                              Ryan's POV

"She's not here!" Madelyn states as you slip your hand through your hair and groan.

"She wouldn't just leave, she knows we'll give her a ride!" You sigh excessively as you glance towards the gang. Your parents made it clear you were to keep an eye on Emi. The events that have occurred in the last couple of months have been confirmed.

These are no coincidences. Something is after Emi and they had made it clear we are to not let her out of sight.
