I'm Being Stalked By A Ghost & Hunted By A Vampire

Part Twenty-Nine

Greg POV

"You've got to be f*cking kidding me!!!!" Ryan angrily punches the wall "HE has her, that demon has her! We were supposed to protect her, not push her off to something much worse than a vampire!" Demons tended to have a temper and do not need an excuse to hurt humans.

While vampires have to eat to stay alive, demons just do it for fun.

"Should we go downtown? Do you think she made it?" Madelyn asks. No one speaks.

"Well shouldn't we at least try?" She has a point, but realistically that phone call sounded one-sided "Maddie, she didn't make it, we'll have to regroup and re-think our plan" Madelyn huffs as Josh rolls his eyes.

"Well I'm going, alone if I have to," She walks out the door in a bad mood. You can hear her start her car and peel out of the driveway "She isn't going to find her."

The group walks away from Josh who stands trying to defend himself. Let Madelyn blow off some steam, it will keep her busy.

Hastens' POV!

"So, you're telling me you can't sense Emi?" Your face tenses as you glare at Avent.

"That's what I just said. Her presence is becoming weaker and I can't pinpoint a location. I just keep getting strong emotions. I can't get into her mind." Avent looks thoughtful "Do you think she's breaking?" You find yourself unable to confirm his suspicion.

Why are you so bothered by this girl? So what if she breaks, one less thing you have to worry about. "I can't believe those damn hunters would be so brave as to storm one of our locations." You agree wondering how you could have lost her.

'I knew I shouldn't have let Rumor take her out of my reach.'

You glare at Rumor. "This is your fault." He glares daggers back "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get shot with those damn paralyzing bullet!" You stand up,

"I hate nightclubs."

"Come on! Try to look on the bright side; at least Emi's still alive." You stand, not finding comfort in that. Your cell starts going off. You answer, noticing it's that idiot calling.

"What?" You voice dripping with annoyance

"Awe, is that anyway to greet me?" Rivers voice mocks, you sigh, "I don't have the time to deal with you."

You're about to hang up "Oh believe me, you will make the time." You roll your eyes.

"What do you want River?" Avent perks at the name.

"I have a certain Accessory at my place." You could practically see his stupid grin.

"What did you say?"

"Don't play dumb, you know what I said. The question I want answered is how important is she to you? She must be special, I know you don't condone the use of Accessory." You let out a low growl "She obviously belongs to me. Where did you find her?" River lets out a chuckle.

"The hunter's place, same ones that murdered your kin. I believe we can work out some sort of deal?" You place your middle finger and thumb to your forehead, becoming even more agitated then before.

"I know where you live, I'm coming." He remains silent for a few seconds "Do bring something for Emi to wear, we had a bit of fun and got carried away." You hang up your phone.
