You lay in your covers feeling numb. Waves of panic and nausea make you never want to leave the bed. Tomorrow is the day of the banquet, the day you will have to give yourself to him.

You squeeze your eyes shut tightly, finding the whole situation exhausting. The anxiety curdles in your stomach as you think about what you will have to give up. You shake your head, trying to sooth your worry, it can't be that bad!

Everyone seems to enjoy, it can't be that bad! You knew something like this would happen, it was only a matter of time before he would lose interest and push things further.

You think about Ryan, how you protected him from Hasten. And then there is your mother and Josh, and how they both died at his hand.

You bury the thought, killing any feelings left. You need to man up, this is your life now, it's time to act the part.

'You can do this' you mentally boost yourself, finding that it really isn't helping the situation.

You sigh, dramatically, finding it somewhat relieves the anxiety you are feeling. After tossing and turning for what seems like an hour you decide you need to talk to someone about this.

You figure the best person would be Solaris, since she is the only female and has experience in this category. You silently walk through the halls, actually having a hard time finding her room.

You've never had to go to it since she always comes to you. You remember Avent saying it was somewhere near the rest of the vampires in this house; now all you have to do is figure out which one it is.

Slowly you make your way through the hall, passing by Alex' room. This place is so goddamn big! How will you ever find your way back?

You hear a click, and before you know it, you are dragged into a bedroom, a hand covering your mouth.

You widen your eyes alarmed, but notice Sven sitting casually on a settee, reading. Your captor releases you as you spin fast, glaring as menacingly as a human girl could.

"Rumor!" You hiss as he smiles his large grin, pleased at being able to scare you.

"I knew you were coming, I couldn't just let my date walk on by!" He waves his hand, using dramatic gestures to explain his reasons.

"I'm happy you came, couldn't wait until tomorrow to see me?" you roll your eyes as his grin never disappears.

"I was actually going to see Solaris," you state as he blinks a couple of times, "I didn't realize you were into that sort of thing." Your cheeks burnt as you shake your head profusely.

"We will have a lot of fun with that kind attitude." You find yourself about to speak, but find that Rumor hears what he wants to hear, it will be a waste of time.

"Well, I better go see her." You attempt to leave when Rumor quickly places his hand on the door, preventing you from opening it.
