I'm Being Stalked By A Ghost & Hunted By A Vampire

Part Twenty-Six

Peter's POV

"What did you just say?" Your heart pounds hard against your ribs, a mixed feeling of dread and relief swirl inside.

"We have her. We have Emi." Ryan's voice has a mixture of joy and something else that you can't detect. 

You use your thumb and index finger to rub your eyes. You can't believe that after all this time, they've managed to capture her. 

She's so close it almost scares you how excited you are.

"They found her down in New York, a stupid vampire bar, she will be arriving tonight." you don't even need to think of what your plans are "I'll be there."

You drive faster than usual as Greg sits silently beside. This wasn't unusual since the tension seems to be a bit high.

"What if she's different?" The thought has been driving you crazy since you seen her outside the club that night "She will be different." Greg's sharp words cause you to wince 

"It's been a year Peter, she's no longer human. She became the very thing you hunt." You try to be angry with Greg but finds you cannot be. 

He was right, Emi is no longer human, those green eyes made it apparent.

"I just want her to be the same." The desperation makes your voice sounds weak as Greg places a hand on your shoulder for comfort. 

"What will I do? What will happen to her? I don't think I could- could" you couldn't even get the words out. 

The thought of Emi removed from existence was horrible, the thought of her being a vampire was much worst.

"We'll discuss that when the time comes." You already know the outcome; you just choose to ignore it.

They arrive at the Whites house. They have a special facility to keep certain vampires captive in the basement. 

It's purpose is to hold creatures of the night that need extra surveillance. Ryan is waiting by the entrance; Greg and Peter greet him quickly as they take a special staircase that's concealed by a large painting and head to the basement. 

This part of the basement looks like a large lab, completely white with cells made of unbreakable glass to allow a clear sight of the captive. 

There are a few creatures down here including Emi. The security is top notch so you can imagine their surprise when they reach the bottom of the facility to find the doctors having trouble keeping her locked in.
