You wait for a couple of minutes until someone finally came to the door; it was Espen, the butler. He is very young, maybe in his late 20's. He has short blond choppy hair, and has bright green eyes. You wonder why he ever took a job as a butler, it's so obvious he could be so much more.

"Oh Miss. Stanislav, what a surprise!" he says as he ushers you into the house as he talks about the news.

You smile as he calls you by your last name. It sounds so formal.

"We thought that something terrible had happened to you," He takes your shoes and places them in the closet.

"No, no, I'm fine, thank you for worrying about me." You smile as he nods his head.

"I can tell you this, as soon as we all heard the news about the..." you nod your head for him to continue,

"Murder, this house was in an uproar, everyone running around bustling about, a mad house if you will." You follow him into the kitchen.

"So where is everyone?" you asks as he puts the kettle on the stove.

"I do believe the Master and Misses have been called to work. Very important business and young Ryan is out looking for you, tea?" You nod your head as he gets out two cups.

"I should go call Ryan and tell him I'm here" You get up and are about to leave but Espen stops you.

"There is no need to rush, let us have a cup of tea, and then you can call him. Plus it has been such a long time since we have had the chance to talk." He pulls you back down into your seat as you nod your head and smile. It's true, it has been awhile since you two have talked.

"So, Emi, would you like to talk about last night's events?" he ask as you think it over.

You end up telling him how a man came into your house and attacked your family, but you left out the part when he said he wasn't finished with you, it's not the complete truth but it's pretty close.

"Yea, that's what happened," you mutter as you look away, it was hard to tell that story.

"You know, you're a very strong girl," Espen says as he drinks his tea in a polite manner. "Yea so strong that I couldn't even help my mother" Your head falls as you pretend to examine the designs on the teacup.

"You do know that there is more than one type of strong. You don't need muscles to be considered strong." you look up from the cup and smile. "I see what you are getting at,"

"I know, I'm just saying your strength is mental, I know if I found out my mother had been killed, not to mention in front of my eyes, I'd be crying like a five year old."

You feel rage build up. She wouldn't be dead in the first place if it wasn't for Hasten! You decide to change the subject finding it difficult to talk about your mother. You hear the door open and a ruckus of noise as the front door open and slam closed.
