Alex's Side Story

Alex POV

"A power outage stupid."

You feel Emi's glare even in the dark as you reach out and hit the back of her head playfully. The power just went off in the house, "Ouch, dummy I know that! I want to know why it's out!" She says as you hear her fumbling around in the darkness.

"Wait! No one move, look out in the hallway." Your mother says as you look out and notice the hallway lights are on, which is weird since when the power goes out in this pathetic excuse of a building, the whole building is shut down. Not even the emergency lights work.  -_-'

You are pulled from your thoughts when the phone starts ringing. You feel Emi's unnecessary panic, finding her unusually jittery. She jumps for the phone, picking up fast with a shaky, breathy,

"Hello?"

She pauses, waiting for a response.

"Please," she begs, making you wonder why she is so afraid,

"If you have something to say tell me now!"

You hear her breath catch in her throat as she slams the receiver down, "We need to leave, something bad is going to happen!" she frantically states as you and your mother question her.

"No please, listen to me! We need to get out of here now, come on!" she cries as she heads for the door like a bat out of hell.

'Who the hell was on the phone?' you wonder as you sit up, not letting Emi leave.

"Emi, come on, we aren't leaving, you need to calm down." You unnecessarily tackle Emi to the ground, and hold her frantic body down as she fights back against you.

"Now tell me what's going to happen?" You ask, finding her frantic state is having effecting you.  She is not one to freak out on this level without just cause, is something bad actually going to happen?

"I-I-I don't know Alex! But something bad will happen if we don't get out of here!" Her voice cracked, showing legitimate fear as tries to claw her body towards the door. You pause and reevaluate the situation, "Emi, you need to calm down." You feign reassurance, unsure if you really are in danger.

"Can we just go to the hallway, there is light in the hallway!" you agree, hoping it would appease her mental state. You help Emi off the ground, and head towards the exit. She opens the door and bolts, only to run into someone standing in front of the door.

"It's so nice to see you again, Emi" Emi's body soars past, as she hits the wall in the open coat closet. You watch in horror as boxes fall on top of her body, burying her beneath.

"Emi!" your mother shouts, as she runs past. You grab your mother's arm to keep her close, as the man enters the your home as if he were invited.

His hair reflects the light from the hall, looking practically white, his figure stands taller than you, but that wasn't the most intimidating feature. His eyes shined like an animals, reflecting the light, bright green, inhuman.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" you challenge, pulling your mother behind you. "Is that anyway to talk to a guest?" the man snarls, sending a chill down your spine. You have never felt this kind of fear before, it is as if your instincts are telling you to run, and run fast.

"Alex! Just leave! I'll be fine!" Emi calls from the closet. You roll your eyes, "Shut up Emi, I'll deal with this!" you yell out of frustration. Every fiber in your being is telling you run, GTFO but you stay, knowing you will never forgive yourself for leaving your family behind.
