The morning has been rough, with Hasten refusing to speak to you, and everyone trying to act as if having a Demi-god inside you is not the strangest thing in the world, but seem to be failing miserably.
The evening is slowly creeping in, the sun already behind the trees in the horizon, casting its long shadows across the tree riddled property.
Avent is in the kitchen, while the others have taken to the living room. You sit in the breakfast nook, watching as the sun slowly disappears, its light completely soaked up by the horizon. Avent's has been asking questions all day about Faron, while you answer as best to your knowledge.
"So, How did you first know you have been chosen?" Avent asks, as he fiddles with a late night tea.
You turn back from where Hasten made his exit, and faux-smile. "I think I first met him when Etelm knocked me out, a couple of days before the ceremony... But now that I think about it, I think he's been around longer."
You remember the dreams you have had, how unknown by you at the time, his presence was there. You look back to where Hasten disappeared too, knowing he went to his room, and that he will most likely stay there for the day.
"I find it fascinating when a being much larger than our own interferes with mortal/immortal affairs...." You block out Avents rant on the existence of man, finding yourself to preoccupy with your current situation.
If Hasten does not like this situation, then it's best you work something out. The faster you complete Farons request, the faster things can return to normal. Would Hasten even let you finish? From what occurred this morning, you will most likely have to go it on your own.
Would you be able to leave everyone behind if it came down to it? They have been such wonderful friends, even though you did start on quite the wrong foot.
An even bigger question would be if Hasten would even let you go? Whatever he is to you, and whatever you are to him, seemed to have changes when Rumor turned you into a vampire.
You are no longer under his control, and if you know Hasten, he hates not having control. The only thing you two seemed to have in common is playing captive and captor.
And if you are to leave, how in the hell are you going to find Etelm? You may never see him again. He has what he wanted, how are you going to track down a vampire that managed to elude the whole vampire monarchy?
At that moment, it dawns on you how difficult this is must be for Hasten. Two people he thought he'd lost, are now running about somewhere in the world, doing who knows what. You never thought to see if he was okay.
You have been so focused on your own issues, that you forgot that Hasten is probably just as miserable as you are. He has probably had just as hard of time adjusting to the new information. It dawns that you have no idea what Aura and Etelms mean to Hasten.
