Hey girlies! I had no time to update yesterday! I was saying goodbye to all my friends from college, it was rather tearful and energy draining. So sad! :(

Anyways, just a heads up, I started the story in a different point, so no you are not missing a portion of the story, just keep reading! :D

We're going to start in the middle of all this mess! SO ENJOY!!

______________

Hasten's POV

"EMI!" You shout from the stands, the wind wisps her hair rapidly, as you shield yourself from papers and debris. She's on trial, on the largest, dramatic wooden seat, that is the highest point in the Elders court room.

Chains bound her but her outburst over Rumor execution sent her into a fit, one that is bending the laws of physics.

Her eyes glow vividly red, her iris and sclera have become one, with a crack splitting down the center on an angle mimicking the one she obtained when she broke.

Her clothes flail in the wind, her body seems to be levitating, as the Elders stand in their podiums, their ceremonious robes blowing rapidly in the gush of wind.

Caius shouts over the howl of the wind, to the other four Elders. His face is contorted in anger as he barks out demands, pointing to Tarquin, the other Elder, directing him to go off somewhere.

The crowd has gone completely nuts; people running left, right, and center. Some stand off to the side, watching with wary eyes, but to curious to look away. Amena is in the crowd, looking panic-stricken as she bolts from her seat, running out the door before things get ugly.

You stand still with Avent, along with Solaris and Alex at your side, watching with horror and disbelief as they plan an attack to take Emi out.

The pressure in the room was suffocating; something powerful has taken Emi over.

You turn to Avent, knowing that if you involve yourself, this battle will most likely end in theirs and your own death.

"I'm going in," you inform him, more than ask for permission. Avent nods, seeming to understand the circumstances, "I will follow you, even if it is to my death," You smirk, "You're sounding awfully like Sven."

Avent lip twitches upwards as he faces the apocalyptic scene before him. You frown as you stare at the troublesome girl you have managed to consume your time with.

'Is she worth all this trouble?' You shake your head, knowing that if something were to happen, you would never forgive yourself. You already lost someone important by the hands of the Elders, you will not lose another.

This will most likely be the end of your immortal life; the elders are the oldest and most powerful vampires in existence, you know you would not stand a chance against one of them but that won't stop you.
