✧Misma POV✧

It was the day before full moon and I sat on a small couch in Gwyn and I's room, going through books and trying to figure out more about my powers. It was extremely calm, the priestesses were on the other levels, probably doing their own researches. Gwyn left some hours ago to train with some of other priestesses, but I decided to stay here and find out more about these powers, more about....me.

I was not sure if Azriel was joining the training, Rhys sent him on a mission again last night.

So many pages, so many books, so many words.

I was currently going through the 10th book, not having left the Library for hours.

The letters started to melt into each other and I let myself fall back onto the couch, looking around me before grabbing my knitting needles and some ball of wool. My fingers fumbled with the needles and the wool which constantly got stuck around my rings. Those stupid rings. I mean yes, they helped a bit but also not too much.

I had tried to knit one row but I was unsuccessful and so I put the items back down and picked up the book again. I lifted the book over my head, until it fell in my face. Ouch. The scent of old parchment and paper crept into my nose while my eyes fluttered shut.
I let it rest there, leaning my head back and groaning loudly. Shit, I was really hopeless.

I fully closed my eyes under the book, whining to myself when suddenly fingers brushed over my face and the book was lifted.

Cauldron and Mother. An intruder!

My eyes shot open and I looked into those amazing hazel eyes.

No intruder. Azriel.

"Hey, are you even allowed in here?" I laughed when he leaned down to kiss my forehead.

"I am here to help so yes, I am," Azriel stated, moving around the couch and raising one eyebrow.

He examined the books that were scattered around me, some were open, some closed, some had a book mark in them, with some I had built towers and other constructions.

"Get up!" Azriel commanded and I just gave him an irritated look, bracing my hands on my knees. "Just do it," he whined and I had to chortle, standing up, still giving him an irritated look. He then lay down on the couch, more a sitting position and patted his lap. I gave him a reproachful look, before chuckling and walking towards him.

"Really? That is what I had to get up for?" I chuckled and he nodded his head. I sat down on his lap, smiling at him which he returned. He handed me a book and grabbed one himself.

"I said that I am here to help. And this is exactly what I am doing, am I not?"

Not reallyyou are distracting me, Azriel. I leaned into his chest, taking in his scent and letting my eyes run over the pages. My eyes scanned the words and sentences, not really taking in a lot of information as I was really terribly distracted by him, his scent and the feel of his body against mine.

I was nearly through half of the book when I felt my eyelids getting heavy and I had to yawn. I closed the book and snuggled into his chest, placing my hand over his heart. Azriel chuckled, his chest vibrating underneath my face and then also put his book away, so that he could sneak his arms around me. I hummed and I snuggled closer to him. The warmth of his body and his lovely scent was like balm to my soul.
"You have no idea how happy you make me and how much I trust you after such a short time," I hummed and felt him wrap his arms tighter around me. He sighed when I felt a slight tremor course through his body.
