✧Misma POV✧
"Concentrate! Concentrate harder. And focus," Amren commanded, bracing her hands on the ground in front of my knees and looking at me with narrowed lids. "Focus on the light you want to ignite."
"I do!" I argued, keeping eye-contact with her while exhaling loudly through my nose. The same ritual as usual the only difference was that today we were not in her flat but rather at Feyre and Rhys' Riverside House. Amren thought that maybe a change of scenery was good for me and I agreed. Why not, right?
Cassian, Nesta, Emerie and Gwyn were training in the back. Rhys and Feyre played with Nyx but I constantly felt their eyes on me and Amren. It was frustrating. Over a week I had been training now and exactly nothing had happened yet.
"Focus!" Amren ordered once again. Gods, that was what I had been trying. I glared at her, our faces were only inches apart and I was angry.
"I am trying to!" I shouted at her, barring my teeth and suddenly light shot out of one of my hands. Amren leaned back and so did I. Another flash of light into a whole different direction and I put both my hands up and formed a small ball with them. I mean as good as possible as light was still dashing into all kinds of directions.
The next thing I remembered was my head making contact with the ground. It felt like fire was blazing over my palms, igniting every tissue of skin.
I blinked a few times looking at my hands, they were red and looked like I held them over fire for several minutes. Gwyn leaned over me with big eyes when I slowly sat up, looking at Amren who had also been fired back by my light explosion.
Her usually straight and slick hair stood in every direction and I just looked at her with big eyes. "Sorry," I shouted into her direction.
"No, don't apologise, that was good!" she said, smoothing her hair down. "Are you okay?" Gwyn questioned, worry lacing her voice. I nodded. Was I alright? I had no idea. What had just happened?"We try that again. Now. Sit!" Amren ordered, pointing to the spot in front of her and I leaned forward to kneel.
"No!" A loud and deep rumble reached me when I sat down on my heels, bracing myself for another round of light summoning. Sighing, I glimpsed over my shoulder.
Azriel.
"No, give her break. It will be too much." Azriel wore a stern, dark look on his face.
"Come, I want to show you something," he offered, extending his hand to me.I looked between him and Amren. Amren shrugged her shoulders, "Maybe a break is not a bad idea." she told me and I slowly got up. I went towards Azriel, who wore a small smile and I greeted him by nodding.
"Come. We will be back soon," he told the others and put his hand on my back shoving towards the gate of the house. Cassian waved after us, a smirk on his face and Gwyn wore a big grin on her face, waving eagerly.
"Where are we going?" I asked, smiling.
"Don't be so nosy, it is a surprise."I pouted, but a smile quickly took over my facial expressions. "But I want to know. Please tell me."
Azriel smirked and squeezed my sides, "I am not telling you, now don't ask again. Impatience won't be rewarded."
I sighed in defeat which drew a low chuckle from the male.
After flying for a bit we soon reached our destination - a big meadow with a little pond in the middle of it. How many parts of the Night Court where there that I had no idea of?
The landscape was more than mesmerising. I looked around in awe, taking in the whole scenery. The water reflected the nearby trees and the sunlight, it was breathtaking. This was also the Night Court, I could not believe my eyes.
