12:34 PMThe sound of my phone ringing through my car speakers, alerted me. I quickly swiped over not looking at the caller ID.
"Saint." I heard causing me to look down seeing it was Skye. I sucked my teeth hoping she ain't find a way to blow me.
"Wassup."
"I have a flat tire, me and Kai can't even leave the house."
"Good sit ya ass down somewhere and spend time with your daughter." I said smartly, knowing Skye she wasn't finna do shit but ride around the city looking for me with her nut ass.
"Saint shut the hell up. I have errands to run, what ima do about my tire?" She huffed
"Call ya nigga." I said matter of factly
"He said he's busy." She told me causing me to shake my head, that didn't surprise me at all.
"Whateva yo, Ima send road side to ya crib and get it fixed." I told her
"You busy or something why can't you do it?"
"Bye." I said hanging up in her face. She lucky I even helped her ass, her tire being flat ain't have shit to do with me and it didn't affect my daughter negatively because if I needed her out the house I'd go get her. Since she claim I'm not shit and he the best ion see why he can't ever help her. It's always me who she call to pick up the pieces
I pulled up to my old hood, parallel parking on the corner. I made sure to tuck my piece on the side of my waist before locking my whip. I walked through the door of my hood's local bodega greeting the girl at the counter.
"Wassup Ash."
"Hey East."
"Where ya pops?" I questioned used to seeing her father behind the counter
"It's him and my mother's twentieth anniversary."
"Oh shit that's wassup, Lemme get two fonto leafs" I told her, she quickly slid them across the counter not ringing me up.
"Free of charge."
"Good looks" I told her sliding a wad from out of my pocket before handing her a crisp hundred dollar bill
"What's this for?" She smiled
"Put it in the register, tell ya pops I said congrats on the anniversary." I told her before walking out. Just as I was about to get in car, I noticed a nigga being held at gunpoint across the street. Any other time i'd mind my business but I shook my head once I realized it was lil Rodney bad ass.
