Boy (Child!Levi x Child!Reader)

"Was this supposed to happen...?" you asked, your voice much higher than what you were used to. "I think I just got shorter."

You looked up to see Hanji, her expression nothing short of worry as tension grew within the room. What happened? Hanji had taken you and Levi to her lab to experiment on how to minimize the casualties of the titan attacks, and hoped to create a remedy that would heal wounds faster. Albeit, you and Levi were both skeptical of the whole idea, since, Hanji wasn't one for being the 'best' chemist, you relented. However, you did have to convince Levi that it wouldn't do him any harm. But, truth be told, it was much worse than he could have expected.

"YOU DAMN PIECE OF SHIT!" a voice called out. Hanji looked down to see Levi, covered by his now overly large uniform. "FIX US BACK DAMMIT!"

"Oh, dear..." Hanji replied, placing a hand to her hip, the other on her forehead as she released a deep sigh. "I-I'll fix this Levi, so would you p-"

Levi in his infuriated manner attempted to attack Hanji but had to be reminded that he was butt naked at the moment when you, who stood beside him, placed a hand to his shoulder. He turned to see you and your big doe eyes, much like a child's since you both were, after all, children.

"Levi, calm down," you said. "Hanji will fix this, right?" you said, raising a brow.

The sight before Hanji did crack a small grin to cross her face, but seeing as how that would make the situation even worse, she cleared her throat and nodded. "Yes! And I'll uh, retrieve back some proper clothing for you guys." Once, she finished, she left the room to retrieve the clothing, leaving two, almost naked children, alone in her lab.

"Tch" Levi scoffed, unamused by her antics. "Leaving us alone without supervision, crappy shit for eyes."

You chuckled. For a child around eight or so, he sure had a foul mouth. You supposed that despite housing a child-like body, you retained your original mind. "She's getting us some clothes Levi, but I do agree with you. What should we do afterward? The cadets will wonder where we both are, and lunch finishes in ten minutes."

Levi pondered on what to do. If the cadets see him in this state, with his hair much longer, and skin much paler, what would others think of him? Closing his eyes, he breathed in before releasing a tired sigh. "We'll have to ask shitty-glasses about it, in the meantime, just don't get cold. These clothes hardly cover any of us now" he advised, looking to the side to avoid making you uncomfortable.

Quickly taking notice of Levi's sudden rosy cheeks, you smiled briefly, showing gratitude for his suggestion. "Thanks, you should too. You seem much paler than I am, why is that?"

His breath hitched like a sudden punch was delivered directly to the core of his mind, which housed the various memories he had of his childhood. He locked them away, despising where he grew up, and missing the one woman he loved, even if he had known her for so little. Realizing that your words might've struck a cord to his heart, or maybe you've crossed his personal boundary, you slurred out "you don't have to answer! I'm sorry for intruding if it made you uncomfortable."

Levi for a moment stared at the ground before looking into your eyes, seeing how genuine your words were. "Thank you," he said.

Just then, Hanji entered with two button-down shirts, pants, shoes, and even the Survey Corps capes. "Here you two are" she handed you both the clothes. "They should fit quite well, and if they don't, these capes should help cover them up. It was funny really, they shrank for some odd reason...anyway, get dressed" she hurried the two of you to two different rooms. "Come out when you're both done!"
