Touch (Levi x Reader)

Grabbing the reigns of your horse, you made it speed up. The wind that picked up as you rode with your comrades made your hair sway rapidly. You along with Levi's squad were separated from the original formation as three abnormals were on their way to you. Each equipped with speed, agility, and unpredictableness.

"Corporal!" you shouted, awaiting his orders. It dawned upon you that the abnormals were coming closer.

"Gunther! Take the left! Eld! Take the right!" Levi shouted to the men, with the orders made, they made hast to kill off the threat. With the remaining abnormal left, Levi took it upon himself to take care of the problem. He used his wires to grapple onto the titan's shoulder, boosting himself up and attacking it swiftly. Though that was his plan until he heard a shriek, it belonged to you.

While Levi was preoccupied by the threat behind him, Petra and Oluo were having difficulty fighting off the oncoming swarm of titans, all of which ranged from five to ten meters. 'Shit' Levi thought.

You were in the hands of a grotesque titan, being held by the cape with your blades dull after attempting to fight off the swarm. Its eyes were deformed, mouth agape with breaths that smelled of shit and blood. Your horse went unconscious as it landed heavily on the ground.

Levi hurried to exterminate the abnormal to get to you, but hearing your shriek gave the titan enough time to grab him and throw him towards the ground. His head hit against the soaked ground as it began to rain, blurring his vision as his head pounded, all he saw was red. Awaiting to stomp his head open, Gunther and Eld finished the abnormal and freed you from your predicament. Gunther caught you as Eld killed the abnormal that was going to crush their Corporal's head.

Your breathing quickened and your chest heaved heavily. You quickly thanked the men and stood up to your feet, running towards your Corporal. You knelt down beside him as you picked him up, setting his head on your lap.

"Levi..." you said, eyes darting to his head. Blood seeped down his forehead and stained the grass, mixing with the rain that was falling. The expedition was coming to a halt. The casualties were too much and Levi's down...for now. Oluo returned back with Petra on his back as he grappled onto the nearest building.

"We have to go now! There's too much and we're out of gas!" he shouted through the sound of footsteps against the ground. You continued to look down at your Corporal as he slowly attempted to open his eyes. He groaned and cautiously stood up, ignoring his pain.

"Where's (Y/N)?!" Levi questioned with anxiousness. He didn't take notice that you were beside him, he was too engrossed in where you were.

You scooted closer to him and gently shook his shoulder. Levi turned upon your touch and did the unexpected, he hugged you.

The relief he felt when he saw that you were safe was overwhelming, but then he felt regret. He wasn't strong enough to keep you from harm. He couldn't protect his squad from casualties and he was down when they needed him. He just held you as though he might lose you as he did with the others. You were astonished, but brought your arms around him and hugged him back, happy to know that he was alright. You made soothing strokes as his head was rested upon your shoulder.

"Hate to break the moment but there's still a hoard of titans coming" Oluo said, gesturing towards the incoming titans. You and Levi broke apart the embrace, you placed Levi's Survey Corps hood over his head, hopefully to prevent himself from getting sick.
