Author's Note: This oneshot is dedicated to Levi's childhood, so if you don't know much about it yet, I recommend that you watch some parts of it. It's not required to understand the story, but I think it would help with some parts, especially since I made up some things I think his little self might've experienced.
"I think the best way to resolve this issue is to go from here," you said, pointing to a path from the map that was spread out on the table. "To here, there are fewer titans around those parts and the run-down buildings could be used to our advantage."
Erwin hummed, thinking about your suggestion before nodding. "Good eye, I would've never thought of that" he complimented.
You smiled warmly, happy to help. "Thank you, Commander."
"No need for the formalities, you're a good comrade and friend of mine," he said with a gentle smile.
You chuckled. "Why thank you, Erwin. Say, has Hanji finished up with her experiment yet?"
"I don't think so, she's been gone since we began the meeting. Take notice how the Corporal isn't here either" Erwin observed.
You looked around, taking notice that indeed Levi wasn't on the couch, where he'd usually sip on his tea as he listened in on the discussions you and Erwin would have regarding the upcoming expedition. "Odd..." you mumbled.
You brushed the thought aside and continued to discuss with Erwin some backup plans if the original route back to the walls was blocked- what the other alternatives to take would be. As you were just about finished, you heard quickened footsteps, and the voice of a nervous scientist.
"Get back here! Don't interrupt them!" Hanji shouted to whoever it was.
You looked at Erwin, raising a brow as you were both confused about what was going on. Not long after, the sound came closer to the door of the room you were both in, and with sudden force, the doors were flung open. Your eyes landed on a child with raven hair, reaching to the length just above his shoulders. His clothes were quite torn, you would say. It showed his bare shoulders, showing just how skinny he was, and those eyes...they were so dreary.
The child looked up and upon immediately seeing you, ran up to you and hugged your legs tightly. He burrowed his face on one of your thighs while continuing to hug your legs tight. You were baffled, looking at Erwin for assistance before picking up on the sound of Hanji breathing heavily on the doorframe.
"Goddammit he's stubborn" she breathed, walking towards you. "I'm sorry about this."
"It's alright Hanji, but what's happening? Whose child is this?" you inquired.
Hanji looked at Erwin, quite afraid of what he would say since he had asked that Hanji didn't perform experiments on people, due to the dangers of accidentally killing them or creating odd genetic mutations. It was likely that it could happen, seeing as how titans were hunting humans and Eren seemingly being a titan user.
She rubbed the nape of her neck nervously, chuckling suspiciously. "Well you see, I sort of convinced Levi to help me with an experiment, and before you say anything...well I can't think up of an excuse so, yeah I may have turned him into a child" she slurred out, hoping you both didn't understand what was said, but oh boy did he and you did.
Erwin pinched his nose in disappointment, heaving a sigh before getting up and patting you on the shoulder. "I"ll leave this up to you," he said, and with that, left you, Hanji, and the child that she said was Levi all on your own.
"Really Hanji? You turned Levi into a child?" you chastised, unamused how this was the second time this week that she had done something to Levi. But it wasn't to this extent.
