His Decision (Titan Shifter!Levi x Reader)

'Shit' you thought while venturing further and further on the open field.

You were currently alone, having been separated from your formation when swarms of titans had come out of nowhere and attacked you and your group. You took the reins of your horse and made it run as fast as it could to avoid any contact with the man-eating beasts. When you escaped, you were lost. You looked around to see if there were any titans that could potentially harm you and sought out any possible places to hide, being that you were almost running out of gas. There was only a small amount left to hook onto at least a tree if you found one, or onto the rooftop of a building.

The tapping of hooves met with the grassy stained ground as you kept searching until you heard a familiar voice.

"(Y/N)?!" a male voice called out. You whipped your head around to see if you could locate the source of the voice. Not a few seconds later, Levi came into view on his horse in a panicked state.

"Levi!" you called, leaping off of your horse and clumsily running towards him. He had gotten off as well, enduring the force of the embrace you placed him in. You wrapped your arms tightly around him, placing your head upon his shoulder. He stiffened, confused as to why you were hugging him. Realizing your actions and your Corporal's dislike of being touched, you immediately released your arms and nervously stood back. "Sorry about that..." you said, nervous of the consequences.

Though you and Levi have been friends for quite some time - conversing in the night drinking his tea, helping with paperwork, and training together, such physical contact was never done. Thus, it came as no surprise when you immediately felt like you did something you shouldn't have. But to your surprise, he only cleared his throat.

"No worries" he said, bringing a hand up to ruffle your hair lightly. He took the reins of his horse and went back atop it. "Where are the others?"

"They likely dispersed after a herd of titans attacked us" you said, looking to your left. "Most likely to the left of me as I went to the far right" you answered. Levi hummed and looked across the landscape field before resting his eyes back at you.

"We should find shelter soon, a forest should do or even an abandoned home" he suggested, beginning to prepare his horse. You nodded, following suit behind him on your own.

"Right" you said. You thought for a moment before remembering a forest located from where you were, due to a prior expedition a few weeks ago. "I remember a forest located northeast to where we currently are" you said, pointing towards the direction. "It could provide us shelter in the meantime."

"Lead the way" Levi said, and off the two of you went to the forest.

Arriving there, you attempted to use the last of the gas left within the tank, but to your misfortune, there was actually none left. You cursed under your breath, worried how you'd get up there now. Levi noticing that you weren't about to grapple yourself to a tree, asked what's wrong.

"Something the matter?" he questioned, looking at you with worry, but you didn't seem to take notice of that.

"I ran out of gas" you replied with a sigh, looking up at the trees. "I don't know how else to get on top."

Levi walked towards you, bringing a hand out for you to take as you were seated down.

"Take my hand" he said. You were confused for a moment before accepting it. Then, he brought you close to him. "Hold on tight, I'll use the gas I have left" he warned, wrapping an arm around your waist. Quickly, you brought your arms around his neck, securing yourself to him so that you wouldn't fall. As Levi grappled onto the bark of the branch, you held tight. He looked down at you for a moment before silently smiling to himself, happy to be given the chance to be able to save you.
