In the luscious garden owned by the royal family, the Ackermans, were two adolescent children. The raven-haired prince was sitting happily on a chair, sipping away on his tea while you were suited up in light armor, that being just your breastplate while training with your father. He was the Queen's personal knight- and though the King had fled his role in pursuit of a young princess north of the Ackermans, the kingdom flourished under the rule of Queen Kuchel.
Her people loved her, even building a beautiful statue in her honor and paying yearly tributes that would sometimes accumulate up to a worth of many gold coins. All in all, the people flourished under the Ackermans' rule, even better, they loved their rulers.
You panted heavily, your hair sticking to your skin as you battled your father. He was strong, but that was what made it much more entertaining. Raising your sword, you were able to land another hit before your father had defeated you once again, rendering you on the ground, panting heavily to catch your breath.
"You got better than before, I'm proud of you," he said, giving you his hand.
Smiling warmly, you accepted it and dusted yourself off. "You always say that whenever we fight and I lose in the end" you argued.
Your father chuckled, ruffling your hair. "Well it's true, I see how hard you work, why wouldn't I be proud of you sweetie?" he said.
You grumbled, crossing your arms and looking away. "My goal is to defeat you so that I can become a knight. That's the deal I made with clean-freak over there, sipping his damn tea away while he seems my ass getting beat," you said, glancing at Levi as he nonchalantly looks your way. "His damn face...I can't even tell if he's amused or what."
"Lighten up," your father patted your back. "If you keep that attitude up, you won't go far," he picked your sword back up. "Another round?" he smirked, handing you your weapon.
Smiling, you happily nodded. "I'll beat you for sure this time, if not, I won't give up!" you exclaimed, charging at your father with newfound energy.
"That's my girl," he said as he continued your training.
Levi spectated, and with the cool breeze of the wind, he enjoyed you and your father's company. His lips tugged upwards, secretly so that no one knew that as he watched you, his heart raced. He loved your determination, your goal to become a knight fascinated him and he hoped you achieved your dream. If anyone were to dismiss it, saying that a woman was no fit for being a knight since it was a man's job, he would immediately shut their statement and send them to duty far worse than a criminal's. To Levi, it was intolerable to ever hear anyone criticize your dream, unless it was he himself. But even so, he did it in encouragement.
Continuing to sip his tea, in the corner of his eye, he saw his mother making her way to him and the pair dueling each other. Rising himself off his seat, he bowed to his mother once she arrived.
"Oh, no need to do that dear," she said, making her son rise to his feet. "What's happening over there?" she asked when she saw you and your father dueling. "I've never seen such impeccable fighting." Levi looked at you, and his heart raced. His cheek flared slightly, he couldn't control it either. His mother quickly noticed, but she kept it to herself for the time being. "So? Aren't you going to tell me what's going on dear?"
Suddenly regaining his thoughts, he coughed. "Well, (Y/N) and her father are training so that she can become a knight" he explained. "She's getting her ass beaten right now."
His mother watched on in amusement, seeing her personal knight training his daughter was beautiful in every way. She turned her attention to her son, and she knew full well of his little crush on you- she is his mother after all, if anything, she could tell. "But you hope she achieves that goal mhm?"
