IMAGINE KAZ STEALING A NECKLACE FOR YOU, JUST TO SHOW HOW MUCH HE LOVES YOU.

"Inej should be here soon." Kaz rolled the painting up and put it to one of the many hidden pockets inside his coat. "And if Jesper will be on time for once, we have plenty of time to leave before the guard.

You nodded, pacing back and forth the hallway nervously. "If Jesper will be on time."

"If he won't be on time, we'll move to plan C." Kaz reminded you as he locked the safety glass cabinet again for the replacement painting. "This is your first heist with us, but everything will go fine. I always have plans for everything."

He glanced over at you when you didn't answer, and saw that you had stopped by a glass cabinet full of jewelry, skimming it through with your eyes before your eyes settled to a beautiful necklace with a big, blue diamond. Kaz came by beside you, seeing what you were looking at with wonder and admiration in your eyes. Kaz frowned, and soon he heard Inej's steps along the hallway. You snapped your gaze to her and began walking towards her, but Kaz was left to the cabinet, staring at the necklace. He had seen your expression, and no wonder - the necklace was beautiful. It was worth at least twenty thousand kruge.

We don't have a replacement. Kaz's brains reminded him. It isn't wise.

But at the same time his heart screamed back. You saw how Y/N looked at it.

"Kaz?"Inej called him with a whisper, staring at the man for a moment and Kaz nodded, quickly picking the lock to the glass cabinet and snatching the necklace. They didn't have a replacement for it and it would be noticed, but Kaz couldn't resist - the chance of seeing your smile was too precious to let pass by.

Kaz closed the necklace into his fist and shoved it into his pocket, following Inej out from the building.

Damn his heart.
