It had finally become enough. You had listened to him lie and watched him gamble his money away for so long that it was finally enough.
You had decided it that evening when you had asked Jesper to talk about your relationship. If he didn't have an explanation for why he always lied and couldn't stay from gambling away money - even your money at times, you would kick him out. Your friends had talked you into that, saying he hurts you over and over again, and even if you love him, you have to draw a line somewhere.
"This is the last time, Jesper. Last time I'm asking you why you break my heart over and over again," you stated, trying so hard to keep yourself composed. Cold. Just so you wouldn't burst into tears in front of him, have him hold you and you'd forgive him all over again. No. This time, you needed an explanation - why did he always break your heart with empty promises?
"Y/N, sweetheart-"
"No, Jesper. This is your last chance to explain."
He fell silent on that. He knew he had a problem with gambling. Lying, too. But he never meant to hurt you this much, he should have listened to you the first time you told him that you can't do it anymore. He knew he had a problem, but somehow he couldn't say it aloud - something you needed to hear. So when he just stared at you, you sighed, gesturing around you.
"I'm going to a spend some time with my friends, I'll be there for a few hours - once I'm back, I expect that you have left and taken all your things with you," you muttered, trying so hard to hold back tears, and left the stairway before Jesper could gather up a reply.
The door downstairs shut, and it landed on him. He had lost you. Gambling and constant lies about where he was got to him - and if he ever wanted a chance to get you back, he'd have to get rid of those problems...
