A/N: I had a pixie cut for years and it still holds a place in my heart so this was so fun to write 🥰 I hope you like it!
"Woah... Y/N, you really threw yourself into it." Jesper commented as he saw your hair. You had had long hair before - almost as long as Inej had, but you had gotten bored of getting it brushed for half an hour every morning and decent-looking for the day so it wouldn't look like a bird's nest and not being able to go to sleep for hours after a shower, and now your long hair had been cut off and was very short. Like, boyish-short.
"Do you think it looks pretty?" you asked nervously as you ran your hand over it. You had wanted a pixie hair for months, but you had been scared and nervous about it actually fitting to you, if you'd regret it. If it would just look stupid. But judging by everyone's admiring smiles, it fit you quite well.
You heard steps coming downstairs and Kaz appeared at the top of the stairway, slowly making his way down. You looked at him and he stopped for a moment, almost not recognizing you. You looked stunning. He blinked and cleared his throat.
"Look, you made even Kaz speechless." Nina snickered. "Y/N might end up being the Queen of the Barrel."
Your cheeks heated up immediately and Kaz laid a warning glance on the heartrender.
"Watch it, Zenik." he growled, glanced at you again and then turned his attention to the table where the rest of the Crows sat.
"I have a new job. We'll discuss about the details later today." he informed everyone and turned, making his way back up. Once he was surely back at the attic, everyone turned to look at you with teasing grins.
"He loves it." Inej commented.
"No kidding, I heard him gasp. He probably thought Y/N is a Saint." Nina bit her lip. "He absolutely loves it."
"Do you really think so?" you muttered, your cheeks just increasing their temperature.
"Yes." everyone said in unison, which made you bow your head and smile to yourself. You felt really beautiful on that moment, and Kaz thought so too.
