Disappointment; something Celeste had been use to her entire life. She was never good enough for her father, but her mother loved her dearly. Sadly, Celeste's mother died when Celeste was only six months old, but her death was never explained to Celeste. Narcissa blamed people, as did Lucius, but they'd never speak of who they blamed. Celeste had lived with the Malfoy family since her mother had passed, since her father refused to take her in. At the time, Sirius was still young and in Hogwarts.

Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy always treated Celeste as their own daughter, since she was the daughter of Lucius's sister, Fantasia. Fantasia had been placed in Slytherin a couple years after her brother, and she had been best friends with Regulus Black. The Marauders had befriended her to try and talk to Regulus, but the plan backfired terribly, especially after Fantasia fell pregnant.

Since the baby was a pure blood, the families accepted her, but after she was born, Fantasia was punished for falling pregnant with a blood traitor's baby. Regulus cared for Celeste quite a bit, and he'd visit her often until he died. He'd often leave her gifts, since she was his niece and he loved her so. Celeste still wore the necklace and ring Regulus had gifted her all those years ago, and she wished she could go back in time to thank him properly.

"Celeste, it's time to wake, love." Narcissa said, as she lightly tapped on Celeste's bedroom door.

Celeste blinked her eyes open, sighing quietly as she looked around her dimly lit room. The room was very Slytherin-esque, which wasn't surprising when it came to Celeste. She was always sporting Slytherin attire, and often times, most of her possessions did as well. Even the necklace and ring Regulus had given her were very Slytherin like. They had green jewels, with black holding the jewels. Regulus knew she was going to be in Slytherin before she was even old enough to be sorted.

Unlike most Slytherins, Celeste was rather kind. She followed the rules given to her by Lucius Malfoy, but she often times tried to cover up any attention she had given to anyone with "unclean" blood. She was not a fan of the word "mudblood," but she never corrected anyone who used the word.

Celeste remembered the first time she had been caught socializing with a Gryffindor. Lucius had used the Cruciatus Curse on her when she returned for holiday. She agreed to never speak to another Gryffindor again, especially since Lucius had warned her about the punishment being worse because the person she had been talking to was a "blood traitor." The wizard was Charlie Weasley, and she had talked to him a couple of times about dragons, and he was shocked when she stopped talking to him and refused to even be in his vicinity after holiday.

"Celeste! Are you ready?!" Draco called, as he threw open her bedroom door.

Luckily, Celeste had just finished getting dressed after her morning routine. Celeste turned to her young cousin with a smile on her face.

"Are you ready for your first year at Hogwarts?" Celeste asked, as she slid her ring on her finger.

"Of course. I'm going to be joining Slytherin with you." He said, determination evident in his voice.

"I will show you around to classes, if you'd prefer, Draco." She commented, but he shook his head.

"No, not unless I'm lost." He replied, making the girl smile again in return.

She and Draco walked down to the kitchen where the house elves had prepared breakfast. Lucius and Narcissa were seated at the table, waiting patiently on the two children to come and eat breakfast. Lucius and Narcissa gave Celeste small smiles in greeting, but Lucius only gave Draco a nod. To be honest, Lucius was determined to make Draco the perfect Malfoy heir, so he wasn't as easy on Draco as he was Celeste. Truth be told, Celeste looked almost exactly like his sister, but with the Black family hair, so it was hard for him to see any wrong in the girl, but when she did wrong, he punished her as he would his son.

"Are you nervous for your first year, Draco?" Narcissa asked, looking over at her son.

"Of course not, Mother. I'm going to be placed in Slytherin, and I'll have Celeste with me to help when I need her." Draco replied, and Narcissa smiled.

"Do not do anything to tarnish our family name, Draco. You and Celeste are to be perfect, do you understand?" Lucius demanded, causing the cousins to nod.

Celeste was told every year to be perfect, and she tried to do everything in her power to be perfect. Not only did she want to make her aunt and uncle proud, she wanted to make her mother proud, as well as her uncle Regulus. She didn't know too much about Regulus, since he died when she was young, but her aunt spoke highly of him when Lucius wasn't around. Sometimes Lucius would speak down on Regulus, so Narcissa tried to keep the conversations at bay. It was almost as if she wanted Celeste to be like Regulus in some way or another.

"Harry Potter is joining your year, Draco. I advise you to keep an eye on him. He could cause problems for all of us." Lucius stated, causing Draco to nod.

Lucius had spoken of Harry Potter a few times, but he didn't go into much detail. All Celeste knew was that he survived the killing curse from the Dark Lord. Celeste and Draco hadn't been told much about the Dark Lord, but when the time came, Lucius planned on both of them joining the Dark Lord's side. Lucius knew Celeste had great power stored in her, which she showed by having perfect grades in all of her classes, especially Charms, DADA, and Potions. Draco was determined to be like Celeste and have perfect grades, but he didn't know if that would appease his father any, even if he tried to be perfect...
