"Are you going to watch the quidditch games?" Regina asked, as she sat down next to Celeste in DADA.
"No, I don't think so. I mean, what's the point? I'm not allowed to play anymore anyway." Celeste answered, still feeling sour about the fact that Lucius forbid her from playing anymore.
"Maybe you could find yourself a boyfriend to occupy your time." Regina commented, making Celeste roll her eyes.
"I doubt my aunt and uncle would allow me to have a boyfriend, especially when they want me pure when they marry me off to some random pureblood." Celeste replied, and Regina frowned.
Weeks had passed since quidditch tryouts, and Celeste practically had to tie herself down to stop from going to tryouts. Since she didn't try out, the team was now full of guys only. Draco tried to console her, but there wasn't much he could do. He did tell his mother though, so when Celeste recieved a rather large box of expensive chocolate, she did let a smile come to her face. Seeing the smile, Draco's heart didn't feel so heavy anymore.
"I-I want you all to w-write a r-report on the d-drought of l-living d-death. It s-should be t-ten inches of p-parchment, d-due F-Friday." Professor Quirrell said, causing the others to groan.
"Friday is Halloween!" One kid exclaimed, and the professor nodded.
"I-I know, b-but learning is-is more i-important." The professor bellowed, making Celeste roll her eyes.
"He's so annoying." Celeste murmured, and Regina laughed quietly.
"I might pay a Ravenclaw to do my report." Regina voiced, as she and Celeste stood to leave class.
"They'd probably write you a failing paper on purpose." Celeste commented, knowing how rude Regina was to Ravenclaws when she didn't get her way.
Celeste normally tried to do her own work, but when she had too much to complete at one time, she would get help from other students. Often times, Mattheo would help Celeste complete her work if she had too much to do at one time.
"Celeste!" She heard, causing her to turn around and see Draco.
"I'll catch up with you later." She murmured to Regina, before walking away from her friend.
Celeste met Draco halfway by the courtyard to find out what he needed.
"You'll never believe this!" Draco seethed, as he grabbed her arm and pulled her to follow him to the dungeons.
Once the two were in the Slytherin common room, they sat down on the chairs next to each other.
"What happened?" Celeste asked, folding her legs under her.
"Last night, Potter, Granger, and Weasley were out after hours, and I happened to follow them to Hagrid's hut--" Draco began, before Celeste cut him off.
"What were you doing out after hours? Do I have to start watching you until you fall asleep?" Celeste asked, causing Draco to groan.
"That's not the important part here!" He exclaimed, waving his arms in exasperation,"Hagrid had a baby dragon, Celeste! I went to Mcgonagall and told her, so Filch brought them to her. They got in trouble, and Mcgonagall believed the dragon thing was a ploy to get me in trouble," He rambled, sighing slightly,"They got me detention for it!" He cried out, his eyes wide.
"Well, you were out after hours," Celeste murmured, making Draco huff,"but if they were the people who made up a story to get you to go out after hours, than you shouldn't be in trouble," She commented, looking over at Draco,"Who's doing your detention?" She asked, making him sigh.
"Mcgonagall said Hagrid, but I don't know what we'll be doing." He replied, and she nodded.
"Let me know how it goes." She said, causing him to nod as well.
Draco soon left the common room to go to class, as Celeste headed towards the Black Lake to read. Celeste didn't really study much, but she did love to occasionally read when she had free time. She didn't plan on working on her report for at least a few hours, since Professor Quirrell had bored her out of her mind.
Oliver had been walking with Weston, when he spotted Celeste sitting alone by the Black Lake. He wondered if he should go down to see her, but he figured she wouldn't want to see him. She didn't seem to always enjoy his company.
"There's going to be a Halloween party Friday for fifth through seventh years in the Gryffindor common room. We would've let all of the years come, but there's going to be alcohol. Some Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw kids are coming." Weston said, catching Oliver's attention.
"What about Slytherin?" Oliver asked, making his friend smirk.
"You can invite your future wife, Oli. We'll welcome her with open arms, don't worry. I don't know about any other Slytherins having the same treatment though." Weston replied, chuckling to himself.
"S-should I invite her?" Oliver asked, biting his lip.
"I mean, it's up to you, mate. She'll either come or she won't. I doubt anything else will happen." Weston answered, and Oliver nodded slowly.
After taking a moment or two to think, Oliver nodded to himself once again, before beginning to walk down towards the Black Lake. As he got closer, he could tell that Celeste was reading by her lonesome near the lake. Celeste's eyes moved to him as soon as he was near her. She closed her book and laid it in her lap.
"Hello, Wood. What are you doing here?" Celeste asked, as she watched Oliver sit down near her.
"There's a Halloween party in the Gryffindor common room Friday night, and it's for fifth through seventh years. Weston said Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws are coming, so I was wondering if you'd like to come." Oliver rambled, playing with his fingers nervously.
"I don't know. Gryffindors aren't exactly the nicest people when it comes to Slytherins." Celeste commented, and Oliver nodded.
"I know, but Weston promised everyone would be nice to you. I made sure of it." Oliver murmured, causing Celeste to smile a bit.
"I'll go, but if anyone is rude to me, I will hex them." Celeste replied, watching as a grin made it's way on Oliver's face as soon as she said she'd go to the party.
Oliver was finally getting somewhere with Celeste, so he believed, even if it was only mere inches from where he started...
