Christmas had been a disappointment to Celeste like every year since she started Hogwarts. This year though, she recieved a pretty silver necklace from Oliver with a green diamond heart attached to it. In the small package he sent, she had also recieved gifts from Percy's other friends, Weston, Percy, and Danny. Danny had gotten the girl sweets, Weston had gotten her a pair of black, satin gloves, and Percy had sent her a new notebook.

   'Dear Celeste,

I told the boys you normally don't answer back or send gifts, but they still wanted to send you something. I hope your Christmas isn't terrible, even if you're stuck going to a ball. I also hope you don't find a boy you're willing to marry, even if that sounds rather rude and possessive. You deserve better than those blood purists.

         Love,
                 Oliver Wood'

Celeste remembered the letter, since it had actually made her laugh. His words had made her smile, but again, she had to hide the letter. This time though, she didn't hide her gifts, other than the sweets. Her aunt and uncle didn't want the girl eating sweets, since they were afraid she'd become fat from the sugary goodness. Celeste was unable to send gifts back, even though she didn't know if she really wanted to send gifts back. She almost wondered if these boys were trying to get her into trouble.

"Celeste! It's time to put on your dress, dear. The ball will be in an hour." Narcissa said, as she entered the girl's room.

"I don't want to attend this ball, Aunt Cissa. Finding a husband isn't really a part of my agenda." Cleste replied, causing her aunt to scowl.

"You know how this works, Celeste. I've explained it to you many times. Besides, you may just find the perfect suitor tonight." Narcissa commented, making Celeste sigh.

"I hate my life." Celeste grumbled, as she crossed her arms.

Narcissa merely rolled her eyes, before walking over to the girl's closet and pulling out the dress they had bought the day before Christmas. Celeste did like the dress, but she hated everything it stood for. Honestly, if any guy tried to out their hands on her, she was definitely going to hex them without a second thought. Her best friend had become sick, so she was unable to come to the ball, which angered Celeste a bit as well.

"Time to put on the dress, then I'll work on your hair and makeup." Narcissa stated, pulling the dress from Celeste's closet.

The dress was green, long sleeved, and very extravagant. Celeste had finally agreed on this dress after almost two hours of searching for the perfect dress. Narcissa had chosen a pair of black stilettos to go with the dress, and she planned to leave Celeste's hair in natural black curls, but they'd be more fixed and less messy. Her makeup wouldn't be too dark either, so she'd have more of her natural beauty showing through.

Once she was ready, Narcissa left the room to allow the girl to "get in the right mind" for the ball

Once she was ready, Narcissa left the room to allow the girl to "get in the right mind" for the ball. Celeste doubted she'd find herself a husband at the ball, but she was willing to pretend to try to keep from being punished. She hated being punished, even though Lucius often didn't punish her much because of how much she reminded him of his sister.

"Are you ready, Celeste?" Draco asked, walking into the girl's room.

"No, but I doubt that'll change anyone's mind." She replied, frowning to herself.

"Well, you look beautiful, so even if you don't have a good time, at least you'll be pretty the entire time." He commented, causing the girl to laugh.

Soon, Narcissa came back up the stairs to grab Draco and Celeste. When Celeste went downstairs, she frowned again at the huge crowd. There were quite a few males waiting for her attention, but honestly she could care less. She wasn't really looking for a boyfriend, and she really wasn't looking for a husband any time soon either.

"I'm Mathias Zabini," Said the first boy to introduce himself to her,"I believe your little brother is friends with mine." He commented, causing Celeste to nod.

"Are you here because you want to be, or because you were forced to be?" She asked, making him furrow his eyebrows.

"I-I wanted to be here. You're beautiful, and I wanted to have my chance to have you." He replied, causing her to roll her eyes.

"That was a terrible answer." Sbe retorted, before walking away.

Celeste chatted with a few more guys who wanted her attention, but none of them really stuck out to her. None of them were special, and she could tell that none of them had any good intentions. Most of them wanted her for the status, the money, or the fact that she was related to two of the most respected pure blood families. When she grabbed another glass of whatever Narcissa had decided was fit for the ball, another boy approached her with a smirk on his face.

"I'm Ethan Rosier, and I believe you've been playing hard to get all night." He commented, causing Celeste to roll her eyes again.

"No, I'm just not getting engaged to an arsehole." She retorted, making him chuckle.

"You should watch your mouth, love. A woman of your stature should not use language such as that." He said, placing his hand on her waist.

"If you don't move your hand, you're going to lose it." She spat, and he sighed.

"Celeste, I'm trying to be a nice guy, but I can see why none of the others have been successful," He sneered,"You just need to be shown the ropes, and you'll understand not to step out of line and how to be the perfect pure blood woman." He said, letting his hand roam down to her ass.

As soon as his hand came in contact with her ass, she pulled her wand out and jinxed the boy. In seconds, the room was quiet and everyone was turned towards her and the Rosier boy.

"Celeste!" Narcissa exclaimed, making her way over to her niece.

"He grabbed my arse." Celeste murmured, as soon as Narcissa was near.

Instead of saying anything, Narcissa simply grabbed the girl's arm and pulled her up the stairs, deciding the girl was done for the night. Lucius had went over to Ethan Rosier's family and told him that he was sorry for Celeste's behaviour. He promised to punish her, but in return the Rosiers wanted Celeste to be married off to their son. Lucius knew Celeste would be angry, but the fool agreed with the terms anyhow...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. Ethan Rosier will be played by Ian Somerhalder. Obviously, Ian is much more respectful of women, but his smouldering good looks is what is needed for this story.

Love you guys!
