Opening day had come, and the outside of the store was full of people that wanted some of Celeste's chocolate. Lupin and Oliver had made sure to be present during the grand opening of Celestial Chocolate. Fred, George, Oliver, and Celeste had debated on the name for hours. The four had agreed on Celestial Chocolate, and after positive feedback from the rest of the Weasley family, as well as Lupin and Oliver's parents, Celeste decided the name was perfect.
"I'm nervous. What if the chocolate doesn't sell like I thought it would? What if everyone thinks it's nasty? What if--" Celeste rambled, until Oliver cut her off.
"It'll be fine, Celeste. Everyone will love your chocolate." He said, placing his hands on her shoulders.
"Besides, do you remember how much chocolate, the Weasleys, the Woods, and I have eaten since you've started this idea?" Lupin asked rhetorically,"If we thought the chocolate was bad, or it wouldn't sell, we would've told you before you used all this money to get this shop." He said, and she nodded with a sigh.
"You're right, I just need to get over my nerves." She replied, causing the two guys to smile at her.
An hour later, Celeste opened the doors to the shop for the first time. Customers came flooding in, and they weren't playing around. By the end of the day, Celeste had sold out of a lot of chocolate, and had to take orders for more. Once she seen how busy her first day was, she decided that she needed a partner to work with her. Since Oliver was playing for Puddlemere United, Celeste decided to ask Lupin.
"How would you feel about working with me?" Celeste asked, looking over at the man, as the three sat and ate dinner together.
"I don't know," Lupin murmured,"I don't want your shop to lose business because you have a werewolf on staff." He said, causing her to sigh.
"I can always have you working in the back. During breaks and closing time, you can stock, and when you're not stocking, you can be duplicating my chocolate for me," Celeste commented,"I may even have you tasting new things to see if I should sell them." She added, and he bit his lip.
"Are you sure?" He asked, frowning slightly,"Are you sure you want to hire a werewolf?"
"You're my godfather, and as far as I'm concerned, you're the only adult in my family that has ever cared about me. I'm going to do everything I can to help you, and to show you that I love having you as my godfather, even if other people aren't happy about it." She said, causing him to smile.
Celeste felt like she could relate to Lupin quite a bit. He was an outcast; much like she was to her own family. He trusted people that turned out to hurt him; much like she had with the Malfoys. He lost people that meant a lot to him; just like she had lost her mother and uncle Regulus. There was other things as well, but those were the most prominent similarities that the two shared.
Lupin was a kind man, even when the world didn't show him any kindness. He tried to see the best in people, even when they only showed their worst. He tried to see the best in his best friend, but he couldn't completely get passed the fact that the man seemed to despise his own daughter. The last letter Lupin had sent Sirius about Celeste's new job, Sirius replied to him that he had wanted updates on Harry, not on a grown woman that he barely knew. Those hadn't been his exact words, but the words he did say were painful either way.
Celeste hadn't known about the letter sent between the two best friends. Lupin had kept it from her, but he had showed Oliver. Oliver had been the one to help Lupin decide not to show Celeste. Lupin hadn't been sure what he should do with the letter at the time, but once he had talked to Oliver, he had decided that Celeste seeing the letter was a horrible idea. She didn't need to know just how little her father seemed to care.
Truth be told, Lupin planned to work Sirius into finally accepting Celeste as his daughter again. Sirius never fully accepted her, and Lupin knew that, but he planned to change how Sirius felt about her, even if that meant he had to track down Sirius and force him to see the error of his ways. Celeste deserved so much more, and Lupin knew that for a fact. Honestly, Lupin almost wished Celeste was his daughter instead of Sirius's.
If she would've been Lupin's daughter, she would've seen the love she deserved from birth and for the rest of her life. He wouldn't turn his back on her for a child that wasn't his. He wouldn't care who her mother was, he'd still love her and be there for her every day of her life. The only problem was, if Celeste had been Lupin's daughter, she would've had the chance to be born a werewolf. He wouldn't want to force that on any child, so instead he accepted the fact that she wasn't his daughter, but he was going to love her as such, since her own father didn't seem to give a damn about her.
Celeste was very hardworking, and was very kind, patient, and caring. Nobody really had a reason to hate the girl. She was practically the definition of perfect, but people always seemed to pick at her every string to find the flaws she had, then they would hate on her for them, and cause her to be somewhat selfconscious. The girl learned to deal with what people were saying about her, but sometimes she could be weak. She was just lucky she had Oliver and Lupin around to pick up the pieces when she fell apart...
