'Celeste,

I have taken care of the letters you sent me. The girls will not get away with what they have done, or have been trying to do. If things continue to get worse, or if you or Mattheo get any more letters like those, send them to me immediately. I will make sure this is handled accordingly, even if that means I have to take care of their punishment myself.

- L.M.'

This was one of the only letters Celeste ever accepted with open arms from her uncle. Normally she would destroy the letters, but this time the letter was different. Once she had read the letter, Celeste handed it over to Mattheo for him to read. Mattheo gave Celeste a slight nod with a smirk, knowing the girls were going to get what's coming to them.

The morning after Celeste recieved the letter, she didn't see Gretchen or Regina in the Great Hall for breakfast, nor did she see the older one in the dorm room. Neither girl was seen in the common room or in classes for the entire day, which caused Celeste to smirk to herself.

"I see Mr. Malfoy has handled the mean girls." Oliver murmured, as he sat behind Celeste in DADA.

"Yes, but I have a feeling this punishment won't change the way they're acting." She replied, before Mattheo came into the classroom and sat down beside her.

Celeste and Mattheo worked together on their DADA work in class, before they both headed to the Great Hall for lunch. After lunch, Celeste made her way to the library to finish her homework for Transfiguration. She had Transfiguration in two hours, and she still had a little bit of homework to finish for that class.

Anyhow, as she was working on the homework, she heard someone sit down in front of her. Looking up, she seen Draco with wide eyes.

"What's wrong?" She asked quietly, knowing Draco didn't want anyone to know he was a bit panicked.

"There's something going around petrifying all the half bloods and mud--" He began, before cutting himself off,"muggle-borns. Sorry, I'm still trying to stop using that word. You know Father hates when we use anything else." He commented, and she nodded with a sigh.

"I know," She replied,"Also, you should be safe if the creature is going after muggle-borns. I thought I heard something about a muggle-born being petrified, but I couldn't be sure. I haven't heard about it happening to a half blood though." She said, causing him to shrug.

"I swear I heard Goyle say half bloods were being petrified, too, but he could he wrong." Draco replied, chuckling to himself.

"I know it's only after anyone that isn't a pureblood, but please try not to mess with it or be caught by it when you're alone anywhere." She commented, and he nodded.

"I'll try, but I can't make any promises. You know how much Crabbe and Goyle are scared of their own shadow." He answered, causing her to chuckle and roll her eyes.

"Whatever you say, Draco." She murmured, causing him to laugh quietly.

Draco left soon after, and Celeste quickly finished her homework. After finishing her homework, Celeste had enough time to run to the restroom before she had to get to class. In Transfiguration class, Celeste and Oliver were assigned to sit next to each other. Mcgonagall had decided to rearrange the assigned seats during the Christmas holiday, so now a Gryffindor and a Slytherin were stuck sitting next to each other.

Celeste was able to talk to Oliver without problems, but she didn't purposely talk to him. The problem was, she was still very hesitant and she was beyond scared of what would happen to her if she was caught talking to Oliver at any time. The thing was, as long as Celeste was in class, if she talked to Oliver, she could claim it was because of Mcgonagall or whatever she decided to assign for classwork.

"Do you want to tell me what happened during Christmas?" Oliver asked quietly, but the girl shook her head.

"You know what happened, so you don't have to act clueless." She replied, making him sigh.

"I know, but I want to hear your part of the story, and not what I read in the Daily Prophet." He said, as he wrote down an answer on the parchment.

Celeste and Oliver were working on answers, so the two talking didn't look too suspicious. Well, it would if someone could hear their conversation, but luckily Celeste and Oliver were talking quietly enough to keep everything to themselves.

"What do you think happened to Gretchen and Regina?" He asked, making her shrug.

"Don't know, but I really hope it changes their attitude. If it doesn't, I have a feeling this is all going to get worse before it can get better." She replied, causing him to nod.

"So, I'll have to be even more careful talking to you?" He asked, though the question was mostly rhetorical.

"We're not supposed to be talking at all." She commented, making him sigh.

"I know, but I can tell you need someone, Celeste. I also know you probably don't want to talk to anyone about your feelings or what's going on with your family, but I want you to know that I'm here and you're not alone." He replied, and she simply nodded.

The rest of the class the two were silent. They only murmured the answers to each other to make sure they had the right answer before writing them down on the parchment. Oliver was the one to turn in the parchment, and from the small smile on Mcgonagall's face when he walked up to her desk, he had a feeling she knew that he and Celeste were talking to each other. He wondered if she had purposely put the two together. Honestly, he had a slight feeling of hope that Mcgonagall was on his side, and wanted him to finally have his chance with Celeste like he had always dreamed...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. Funny story, I have more ideas and less writers block at night, especially close to midnight or later. It's weird, but that's how my brain seems to function.

Love you guys!
