It was Celeste's first Christmas away from the Malfoys. Obviously there wasn't much of a difference, but the one difference that was noticeable, was that Celeste's manor was decorated and fairly festive in her eyes. Lupin and Oliver both liked the way Celeste had decorated, since she worked tirelessly to make everything perfect.

Oliver had gotten the holiday of for Christmas and New Years. He wouldn't have to go back until the third of January, which Celeste was very happy to hear. She was able to spend the entire holiday with her boyfriend and her godfather. She missed Draco, but she made sure he recieved gifts and such from her. Celeste continued to work until midday Christmas eve, and she'd start working again the day after Christmas. She'd take off on New Years though, since she knew Oliver would want to have a small thing together.

Sadly, New Years eve was a full moon, so Lupin would be gone for the night, but Celeste was going to invite Oliver's friends for the evening to have drinks and fun with friends to make the New Year perfect, or as perfect as they could make it.

Celeste had finished her Christmas shopping two days before Oliver arrived, since she didn't want him to see the gifts she had gotten him. She had made sure to send Draco's gifts early, so he could open them in the privacy of his dorm, since he would get in trouble if anyone seen him opening gifts from Celeste. Celeste had also sent him chocolates, as well as a heartfelt letter that was filled with things that Celeste wanted to say to Draco.

'Dear Draco,

I know things are hard for you at the manor, but I'll always be here for you. It's your first Christmas without me, and I'm very sorry. I know you supported me leaving, even if that meant leaving you at the manor alone, but I didn't leave you completely. If one day you feel like you just can't take the way uncle Lucius is treating you anymore, you always have a room in my manor.

I feel horrible for leaving you, but you were right, leaving was beneficial to me and my life. I know you probably knew it, but I've been the one sending you chocolate often. I haven't put my name on any of the messages or boxes, since I didn't want anyone to get you in trouble, but I had to give you something like I did so many others.

Please, open your gifts early, so you can enjoy them without getting into any trouble. If anyone asks, you can say you bought the gifts, or you can always say you won some stupid contest at a store in Hogsmeade. I love you, Draco, and I'll forever be here for you. I will protect you the best I can, and if you ever need me, write me or come to my shop.

Love,
C.B.'

Celeste hadn't mentioned Oliver or Lupin in the letter, just in case anyone other than Draco got ahold of the letter. She didn't want to drag them down with her. She had recieved a small letter with a rose in the envelope. The letter was from Draco, and it was a simple "Thank you," as well as a perfectly written "I love you." She saved the letter, and put a special charm on the rose so it would never die.

The day of Christmas was special to Celeste. She watched as Oliver and Lupin opened all of the gifts she had bought them. When she lived in Malfoy manor, she never bought gifts, other than for Draco. Lucius never accepted any gifts, and if he did, he'd belittle them and criticize them until the gifter cried. Celeste could remember the last time that happened when she was ten. Narcissa never wanted any gifts, since all she wanted was to see happy faces on Draco and Celeste.

Celeste loved buying gifts though, so she bought quite a bit for Oliver and Lupin, as well as some for Oliver's friends; Percy, Weston, and Danny. She also bought some for Fred and George, considering they were somewhat her friends, and they helped her choose a name for her shop. Celeste didn't really expect any gifts, but when she recieved gifts from Oliver and Lupin she was very surprised. She was even more surprised when Oliver's friends sent her gifts, as well as the twins.

She had gotten quite a few things from Oliver, including a beautiful teardrop necklace that had a golden rose inside. Lupin had gotten her another book, continuing the tradition, and she was very thankful. Oliver's friends had gotten her nice things as well, which they had asked Oliver about beforehand. The twins got her a few things, but they had mostly sent her ideas for more chocolate. They were practically becoming second owners to the shop with how much they helped with their brainstorming.

The day after Christmas, she had been surprised by an owl coming in with a package and letter addressed to her. When she opened it, there was a beautiful green dress inside, and a pair of black heels with diamonds to accent the heels. Celeste had opened the letter almost as soon as she opened the package, and the letter was fairly short.

'Happy Christmas, Celeste. I know I'm not supposed to contact you, but I've considered you to be my darling girl for years. I'm sorry for everything, even the simple things you and I disagreed on. I'm thankful for you still being there for Draco, even though he doesn't know that I know. I love you, Celeste.

Love,
Aunt Cissa'

Celeste held the letter to her chest for a moment, blinking away tears, before she put the letter with Draco's to make sure she would never lose them. She then hung up the dress in her closet, and placed the heels below it. She was going to make sure it stayed in pristine condition, and one day she would be able to wear it to something formal...
