Celeste felt as though she had harder classes this school year, than she did any other school year. It might've been because they had a new DADA teacher that Celeste believed was a total loon. He had written books about himself, and she knew without a doubt that everything in the books was a total lie. He didn't do anything in those books, and if anything, he seen the things happen to someone else and he lied and said it happened to him instead.

She almost wondered that if she told him a complete lie, if he'd write it out and use it in a new story. Smirking to herself, she almost wished she had the bravery to do so. Nonetheless, she knew she could always write a fake essay about a real life story, and of course it would be fake, and she could make a complete fool out of the man. Hell, she didn't understand why any woman in their right mind would ever believe Gildeory Lockhart was in any way attractive. He looked old, his face seemed shriveled, and he was completely full of himself. He was almost worse that Lucius Malfoy, if only someone could be worse than him.

Anyhow, after the argument on the train with Regina and Gretchen, the girls seemed to drift from each other. It had only been a month in school, but Celeste was too focused on her studies to worry about the girls, and how foolish they were being. She didn't understand how the two could ever believe that the "pureblood woman" rubbish was ever anything to be proud of. Celeste hated the idea of rubbing her blood status and money in anyone's faces, especially children who were less fortunate-not blood status wise, but money wise.

Celeste almost wished that she could give money out to the less fortunate, to give them a sense of hopefulness and show her compassion. The problem was, she also knew that giving money out, meant people would think she was a pushover and they would try to mooch off of her as much as they could. Kind of like how she felt about Gretchen and Regina. Those two weren't as far up on the totem pole as the Malfoys were, so they used their friendship with Celeste to make themselves seem better than everyone else.

Celeste didn't want to fully believe that her friendship with the girls was completely based off status and not real friendship, but the more days the girls ignored her, the more she believed their friendship was a lie. She wasn't going to chase them down, and she wasn't going to apologize for how she felt. If they still wanted to be her friend, they'd have to come to her and tell her that they were over their little tantrum. They had to get over the fact that Celeste didn't want to be a "perfect little pureblood witch." She wanted to be herself, but she couldn't be when she lived with her aunt and uncle.

Draco could tell that his cousin was becoming more and more disconnected with the world, but he didn't know what to do. He remembered how upset Celeste was when he contacted his parents about her last time, so he decided to keep his worry to himself. He was worried for her. If she didn't straighten up, someone was going to tell Lucius, and everything was going to end badly for Celeste. Draco didn't want his cousin to get hurt, especially by his father, so he was going to try everything in his power to pretend like she was perfect.

He hoped that his father would ask him about Celeste, before he tried to punish her, but he hadn't last time. His mother had been the one to keep him from attacking his father for hurting Celeste. Draco loved Celeste more than he ever could love his father, so he wanted to protect him from her at any cost. In the end, he'd get Lucius sent to Azkaban if it meant protecting his cousin. He had watched how evil Lucius was, and he was not going to let his father almost kill her as a punishment.

Yes, Draco understood that Celeste wasn't acting like she was supposed to act, but after practically being raised by the girl, he understood why she acted the way she did. She wanted to be normal, and she wanted the chance to have anyone as a friend, but she didn't have that luxury. He remembered when Celeste had been friends with one of the older Weasleys. Lucius had gotten so angry at the girl, that Draco really though the man was going to kill her. He was practically threatening her as if she committed treason, and after being raised in that house, Draco could almost see what he meant. He didn't though, since Celeste had taught him morals that his parents never would've.

Narcissa claimed she was different from her husband, but she really wasn't. She wasn't a fan of watching someone be tortured, but she hated anyone that wasn't a pureblood, and it seemed she hated them if they weren't rich and supported the Dark Lord as well. Celeste and Narcissa use to have some of the deepest conversations, back when Celeste was young, and that was when Narcissa had told her that she was different, but Celeste realized that she was lying.

The only way she could get away from their overbearing parenting, is if she left home, but she couldn't. She wasn't of age yet, so she didn't have the ability to disappear without being traced. Yes, she had a key to both the Malfoy vault and the Black vault, but money could only get her so far, since she still wasn't of age. Besides, she didn't want to leave Draco behind. One way or another, if she got away, she'd want to save Draco, too. She just didn't know if she'd ever be very successful in doing so...
