After days of contemplation, Celeste had finally decided she would go to the third task, or final task, whatever the judges wanted to call it. Celeste refused to go by herself though, in case someone tried to start something. So, she had decided to bring Remus with her. Remus was more than willing to go, since he knew how much Celeste really needed him.
Celeste was worried that she was going to see Lucius and Narcissa, or worse, she would run into her father, which was definitely something she didn't want to do. There were so many bad things that could happen if she ran into any of them, though she did hope to see Draco, even for just a minute, so she could see with her own eyes that he isn't too different after she left. He swore it wasn't horrible at the manor, but Celeste knew he was lying, since she had lived there for years herself.
She had dressed rather warm for the task, since she knew it would be kind of cold, and she hoped to hide behind her clothes. She wore a black dress, a black jacket that went as low as the dress. She added a pair of black boots to go with the dress, as well as a emerald green scarf around her neck. Even though she hadn't wanted to stand out, she also didn't want to look like a complete toerag either. She didn't want to embarrass Harry by the way she was dressed.
She had used the floo to make it to her shop to pick up chocolate for Harry, before she and Remus headed to Hogwarts. Celeste could feel the butterflies in her stomach from how nervous she was to be at Hogwarts again. Her Hogwarts experience hadn't been the best, so she really wasn't excited to go back, even if it was for Harry's last task in his tournament.
Celeste and Remus sat in a secluded area, since they didn't want to chance being spotted by people they didn't want to associate with. Celeste was fine seeing the Weasleys, but she had even decided not to sit next to them either. She knew she would stand out sitting next to a big group of redheads. She loved the Weasleys, she just knew she was screwed if anyone spotted her, and sitting next to a lot of redheads put a target on her back.
The problem was, Mrs. Weasley had spotted her when she walked to her seat, so Mrs. Weasley had come down to speak to them.
"I'm going to see Harry, give him a bit of encouragement." Mrs. Weasley commented, and Celeste nodded.
"That's sweet, but I want to surprise him after the task." Celeste replied, though she was practically lying through her teeth.
"Oh, that's a great idea. I'll make sure to keep your presence a secret." She answered, and Celeste smiled.
"Give him an extra hug for me though, yeah?" Celeste asked, causing Mrs. Weasley to smile.
"Of course, dear." She replied, before she walked off.
Celeste sat stiffly next to Remus, as she tried to avoid eye contact with anyone that walked past them. Obviously, she knew most people wouldn't tell Lucius or Narcissa that she was there, but she had a feeling most of the other pureblood supremacists knew she left, and they probably hated her as much as the Malfoys did—other than Draco, of course.
Celeste had caught a few sneers from some pureblood witches and wizards ever since she left, but she had opted to ignore them. She had absolutely no reason to pretend that their reactions to her meant anything to her. Honestly, she wanted to throw things at the ones who would sneer at her, but she kept her composure the best she could.
A few different times, she seen Lupin "accidentally" hex them when they walked out of her shop. Oliver did the same, but sometimes he would get very angry if they said something rude, and he would fight back. Honestly, those were the days Celeste wished she could hide, mostly because Oliver caused big scenes at moments like that. She loved him for who he was, and she was happy that he would defend her, but sometimes she wished he would just pretend the pureblood supremacists didn't exist, or at least were invisible, so he wouldn't fight with them.
"The task should be starting soon." Lupin commented, and Celeste nodded.
"I hope he wins," Celeste replied,"or if he doesn't, I just hope he doesn't get hurt or worse. I've heard about what could happen during these tasks." She added, causing Lupin to nod in agreement.
"Harry's a talented wizard, Celeste, much like yourself and his mother, Lily. I believe Harry will be fine, but I don't know if he's advanced enough to actually win the tournament." Lupin replied, joking at the end so she would chuckle, in which she did.
"I kind of having a feeling that Krum might win. He seems really determined." Celeste said, causing Lupin to shake his head.
"Merlin, no. The twins told me that Cedric Diggory has been coming in first place in the tasks, so I think a Hufflepuff might be winning." Lupin answered, making the girl roll her eyes playfully.
"Of course, a Hufflepuff. I have a feeling Dumbledore rigged the goblet so no Slytherin could be chosen. He's afraid us Slytherins could actually win something for once, and he wouldn't have a choice in the matter, or the chance to change the scores to give someone else the prize." Celeste said, causing Lupin to let out a laugh.
"I would say you're wrong, but not once have I ever seen Dumbledore purposely help out Slytherin." Lupin replied, and Celeste nodded quickly in agreement.
"That's what I'm saying!" She exclaimed quietly,"He told us to never be prejudice against other houses, yet here he was being prejudice against mine." She added, causing Lupin to chuckle.
Though their conversation was lighthearted and had a few laughs, Celeste was completely serious, and Lupin agreed with her. Lupin had some bad luck with Slytherins, but Celeste was one of the nicest, sweetest Slytherin he had ever met. If all of them turned out like her, he'd know for a fact that Dumbledore was a house prejudice...
