The atmosphere in the kitchen was tense and awkward. Celeste stayed though to finish her tea, but once she was finished, she brought the cup to the sink and quickly washed it. She wanted to leave the room before things could get anymore tense or awkward. Before she could leave though, Sirius stopped her by calling out her name.

Celeste turned towards the man, and she could see emotions evident in his eyes. She couldn't quite decipher which emotions were in his eyes, but she knew it wasn't all anger and hate towards the girl or her boyfriend. Obviously, she knew the man had a great dislike for her and Oliver, but she didn't really care what he thought about either of them.

"What's wrong with us?" He asked, making her sigh.

"You know what's wrong. You left me. You chose them over me; your own daughter. You ruined our relationship before it could really progress." She replied, causing him to frown.

"You told Wood all of these secrets; secrets I don't think you've told anyone else." He commented, and she nodded.

"I love him. He's my person; the love of my life. I don't know what I'd do without him. If it wasn't for him, I'd still be under Lucius's thumb, married to Ethan Rosier, and possibly being forced into all the dark magic they were doing. I owe Oliver my life, and I would tell him anything and everything before I'd tell anyone else." She answered, making the man sigh.

"I think you're moving too fast into this; like James did with Lily." He voiced, causing her to scowl.

"See! There you go again! You mention them, knowing I don't like any mention of their names!" She exclaimed, and the man scoffed.

"Why can't you see that they were good people? You have no reason to hate them. Lily was so good to you." He said, and she nodded.

"Yeah, Lily, not James. He ignored me and hated me almost as much as you did. You never even tried to change his mind, and you never tried to change your own. You treated me like dirt, and left me in the care of people who were awful." She spat, making him frown.

"I didn't know you were going to be left with the Malfoys." He commented, causing her to shake her head.

"It doesn't make it any better!" She exclaimed,"The only person who made me feel like an equal and that I meant something was my Uncle Reggie. He loved me. He visited me, gave me gifts, and told me I meant something. After he died, I had no one. I was alone. I couldn't tell Draco anything, I just had to protect him. I didn't have Moony until two years ago. I was alone, and when you got out of Azkaban, not once did you ever try to see me and change things." She stated, feeling her emotions rising.

"I seen you when I was in my animagus form, and I tried to see you, but I couldn't make myself do it. I couldn't figure out a way for you to understand. I couldn't figure out a way to apologize. I wanted to be there, but I couldn't figure out a way to, so I left and went to Harry, I knew he could use my help. I didn't want to hurt you." He said, making her frown.

How could he not see it? How could he believe that pretending to care didn't change a thing?

"You did this! It's all your fault!" Celeste yelled, as she pointed at her father.

"Celeste, what do you possibly want me to tell you? What would make you hate me less?" He asked, looking at his daughter with sad eyes.

"Say you choose me. For once in my life, say you choose me." She murmured, causing Sirius to turn away.

Celeste's heart broke more, as she stared at the side of her father's head.

"You're despicable," She spat, causing him to look at her again, his eyes trained on hers,"You've always chosen the Potters over your family. You chose them over Uncle Regulus. You chose James over my mother countless times, and you're choosing Harry over your own daughter," She sneered, feeling tears start to fall down her cheeks,"I've never hated anyone more than I hate you. I understand now why this family hates you; and I'll never forgive you."

Sirius and Lupin watched as the girl quickly left the room with angry tears falling from her eyes. Lupin didn't know what to say, her words had stunned him to silence. When he looked over at Sirius, he seen that the man's face had barely changed. Not much of an emotion was shown, but he hoped like hell that the man was finally getting a change of heart.

Sirius pretty much lost his daughter forever at this point, but Lupin hoped that something could change her hatred for her father just a little bit. Lupin knew if something happened to Sirius when Celeste was mad at him, she'd blame herself and beat herself up for being so horrible to the man. Obviously, Lupin didn't see anything wrong in what Celeste did or said. He wasn't going to tell her off for anything, because she was right.

Sirius had screwed up. He knew Sirius was hurt hearing Celeste blame him for Regulus's death, but there wasn't much he could say on the subject. Everyone always blamed someone when they were trying to understand something that they never wanted to accept. Celeste missed her Uncle Regulus more than anything in the world, and if Lupin could, he would change places any second with Regulus to give Celeste her uncle back.

Celeste was torn up. She had been dragged through the ringer from a young age, and no matter how hard she tried, nothing seemed to change anything for her. Lupin just wished there was a way to fix some of her pain. He hoped that Oliver would be able to pick up the pieces Sirius inevitably left behind...
