'Celeste,

I know the two of us didn't meet well when you were in Hogwarts. I want to start off by apologizing to you for the way I acted. I was upset, and I took it out on you, and for that I am sorry. I hope you can forgive me.

I know the two of us probably won't be able to be the best of friends the moment we see each other again. I know I have a lot of apologizing to do, but I was hoping that we could be friends.

You're the daughter of Padfoot, my godfather, and I want us to be able to ve family. Padfoot told me that reaching out to you might not be my smartest move, but I wanted to prove him wrong. According to Oliver Wood, you can be a nice person, and I want to show your father that you're just a little misunderstood.

Padfoot has tried his best to be there for me, but with him in hiding, I can't really expect much. You are the only other real family I have because of Padfoot. If you don't want to talk that's fine, but I really hope that you give me a chance.

Sincerely,
Harry Potter'

Celeste had read the letter two or three times, before her anger got the best of her. She crumpled up the letter and tossed it in the fire. She wasn't going to be brought into the drama that was Harry Potter. He had already caused her so much grief, and she didn't think she could deal with anymore. He had already taken her father from her, and she was not going to let him take over her life completely.

"What'd you just toss in the fireplace?" Lupin asked, scaring Celeste slightly, since she didn't know he was in the room.

"A letter." She replied, frowning to herself.

"A letter? From who?" He asked, sitting down across from her.

"Harry Potter." She grumbled, since she was seriously not happy with the letter.

"What did he want from you?" Lupin asked, completely curious about the letter.

"Since my father is in hiding and can't help him much, he wanted me to help him and for us to be family." The words 'father' and 'family' rolling off her tongue like acid.

"Celeste, I know you hate Harry for everything that happened with Sirius, but you're a good person. You should reach out to him, at least for a while, and see how it goes. Maybe you can have a relationship with Harry, without having to deal with your father." Lupin commented, but Celeste shook her head.

"My father despised me long before Harry came along, I know, but Harry was the reason he completely forgot about me. If it wasn't for Harry, I may have one day got my father back," Celeste said, but then she bit her lip,"On the other hand, I could always reach out to him and become close with him to get back at my father. Maybe I could be closer to Harry that my father, and make my father look even more like a fool." She added, making Lupin frown.

"I don't know if that's a good reason to reach out to Harry, but maybe after you get to know him, you two can bond." Lupin replied, but Celeste sighed.

"I don't know if we can. I mean, from the letter, it seems my father might be telling Harry that I'm not a nice person. He said that Dad told him not to reach out to me in the first place, and that makes me wonder if he's been telling Harry lies about me to make himself look good in the boy's eyes." She commented, causing Lupin to smile sympathetically.

"How about you simply send Harry a letter, telling him you support him in the tournament, and that you'll be there if he needs advice. Other than that, I don't think you really have to add much more to the letter; not if Sirius is trying to sabotage the entire idea." Lupin said, and Celeste nodded in agreement.

"I can do that, and that way I'm not completely ignoring the boy. I just hope he doesn't expect me to become this doting and loving cousin all of a sudden, when I'm not really fond of any of my family." She replied, causing Lupin to chuckle.

Celeste had pulled out a piece of parchment from the side table next to her seat, and she wrote a small letter back to Harry. She didn't put much detail into it, since she didn't want him to think she was going to be the perfect cousin that he wanted, but she also didn't want him thinking she was completely ignoring him either.

Lupin watched as she sent Hedwig back with the letter, since the owl had stayed to bring a letter back to Harry. If it wasn't for Lupin, there was a chance the owl could've been there for a long time. Lupin somewhat doubted that Celeste would've sent a letter to Harry if it wasn't for his slight meddling. Technically, Lupin had promised himself not to try and meddle with Celeste's thoughts about Harry or Sirius, but this time he couldn't really help himself. He just promised himself that he wouldn't do it again if this didn't end well.

"I hope he doesn't tell Dad anything, at least, not yet. If he does, it could cause problems for all of us." Celeste said, causing Lupin to shrug.

"I don't know, maybe your letter to Harry will change everything for Sirius, and maybe he'll try to reach out to you and reconnect." He replied, but Celeste shook her head.

"I don't want to reconnect with him, not yet. Besides, it'll never be the same as it was when I was younger. Even then, I didn't have the best relationship with him, and now there's definitely no way I could have any relationship with him. I'd probably try to hex him the minute I saw him, so it's best if he doesn't reach out, at least, for now." Celeste stated, making Lupin frown.

Lupin knew Celeste was wary about ever talking to her father again. He knew she probably would never talk to the man again, but Lupin had a feeling something in the future might force the two together somehow...
