The competion day was just a few moments away. We had the whole day to practice and being that I have to perform twice, I was feeling the challenge draining my strength. The other problem at hand was that I had to impress NCT’s Lucas. I will not get tired of saying how annoyed I was.
Also, we thought that we were to be given mentors this week but the instructors claimed that being that the challenge was a product of the punishment group’s punishment, the next weeks challenge was to do the trick. We were also told that there was a twist of events from this week’s challenge. The announcement made it seem like it was us, the punishment group that caused the others to be given hard challenges.
With all this, we had to be at our best with the performance. My dream was that my Pink team will not be slotted to perform right after the punishment group. I think we had high expectations with the thought that maybe The 8 was to be assigned as our mentor or something. The thought of our performance was draining me mentally but I believed in our capability. We had agreed on the costume, the mix up tones and everything. We also had an assurance that they will not be strict with our punishment group even though it was a punishment. We had been promised that we will be judged just as the other groups.
With all the nervousness I am feeling, I have this fear that I will not be able to sleep tonight and that is a fact. I know that I will dream about the performance… talking about that, now I also have a weird Lucas guy that I need to impress. My team made me sing all the parts that Lucas had sang in their WayV song so you can just imagine, moi, trying to impress a guy who apparently hated me at first sight while sing the parts of a song he apparently took part in composing and the parts that he sang… damn, now that is the best meaning of torture. Only God knows what am going through. I thought with the Rae girl out of here my life will be a bit accommodating but no… Lucas….. Had to happen, oh well, TWENDE NALO.
“Hey mom, are you ok? You look like the whole world has been damped on your head or something…” little Cai said while sitting next to me.
“It’s that obvious ha!” I asked as I lay my head on him,” Judge Lucas is really giving me sleepless night.”
“Oh, that guy, P’ Ten told me that you had a weird encounter with him and,” Little Cai said. When did this boy start calling Ten as P’Ten? This will be the first thing I ask Ten when we meet.
“He even insisted that a song by WayV or NCT should be in the competition as if NCT DREAM is not NCT or maybe because he is not a member there.” I said, “And at a time when my Pink team had not been assigned any Korean team. The worst part is my teammates assigned me all the parts that Lucas has sang in their Action Figure song.”
“The song is not that bad… but come to think of it, he sings most of the rap line and you can’t rap mom, even if your life depends on it. It is like telling Jimin dad to rap… it will be a disaster…”
“You don’t have to rub the salt in and also just because you have never heard me rap doesn’t mean I can’t do it…”
“I get worried when you talk like that… I guess I will…” I can’t figure out what he wanted to say but I all of a sudden got a call from I.M.
“Damn, this brother of mine is a wizard…”
“Why do you say so?”
“I was missing him so much that I wanted to call him just before you came hear”
“Now that means he is truly a wizard. Ok let me leave you to it and don’t forget that we will be having our last rehearsal before tomorrow ok, so keep it and lets meet at our usual place.” I raised my head to sit up straight and then little Cai stood up and as he was walking away,” Greet him for me,
” and with that, he disappeared leaving me to talk with I.M.
