THIRTY ONE

We were scheduled to meet at five am to go through the whole choreography of the girlfriends song. Like I always say, some people are just witches. Who wake up at five am when you can just squeeze your schedule to sleep late, I will tell you who, Rae Na Yi the pink girls group leader. The previous day after the meeting with the boy's, we went for supper then while the other groups were busy doing some practise, our dear group leader was gossiping if not bragging to her clique of friends about her trainee experience. I got bored and went back to my room to sleep not before being told that we would be meeting at five am in the morning.

I had just arrived in the dancing studio and sat next to the grand piano when I heard the door opening. It was  Korn walking in. From the look of things, it seems that he had just woken up because he was still yawning. He had not noticed that I was in the room because he was humming to a song that I like. In order to attracted his attention, I opened the piano and started playing the tune. That's when he was startled and looked at me.

" Oh, sorry. Sawadee krub N'Lensah. I didn't see you there" he said as he walked towards me.
"Sawadee Ka Phi.  It's ok. I have just arrived here myself." I said while bowing my head and folding my hands to give him a proper wai." What brings Phi this early tongue dance studio?"
" I should be asking nong the same thing being that Phi has found nong here first." He said. At this moment he had squeezed himself on the chair with me.
" I am waiting for my fellow group members. We are suppose to allocate each other parts for our performance."
" For me, I guess my sleep ended early so my legs dragged me here. So you mean you never practiced anything yesterday?"
" No, the group leader was gossiping about her trainee experience with the others. She demanded us to meet this early but as you can see, I guess I am the only one who got the message."
" Oh, sorry for that. By the way, I noticed you were playing the song that I was humming earlier."
"Yeah. I love the song, I don't ever wanna see you again by Uncle Sam."
" So you an play the piano?"
" Yeah, and the drums and the recorder. It was kind of mandatory while I was growing up with my brothers."
" Mmmh, interesting. So can you play the piano then I sing the song. We can even sing a duet!"
" Ok then, let's have a duet.'' and with that I started playing the piano and we sang the duet of Uncle Sam's old time best song.

So I paid it no mind, in fact, I wanted to send it back

We sang this song while harmonizing. I left the verses to him but joined in when the chorus parts started. By the time we were ending our little concert, we noticed that we had an audience. My group members were there. Tem and little Cai walked up to us and greeted us then Tem introduced Korn to Cai and vice versa. Eugene also joined us and we decided to go and take our yoga mats because the instructor had arrived.

The aerobatics and yoga was not that long being that we were used to it. When we were folding our mats so as to go for breakfast, Eugenie came and told me that Rae Na Yi had requested the pink girls team to remain behind. I guess Korn heard it because he came and asked me if I was going to be ok. I nodded and followed Eugenie but I heard behind me Korn telling Tem, Cai and Eugene about the early morning meeting that never happened.

When I reached, Rae was talking in Korean which was making Miki Igarashi annoyed because she was not understanding anything.
" Annyeonghaseyo. So you decided to show up in the end ha Lensah!" Rae said while glaring at me. She was speaking in Korean. At this point I just lost it. I decided to speak my mind and because she thought that her speaking in Korean language will intimidate me, I went all war on her. Speaking Korean to my level best.
" Don't give me that bull crap Rae. I showed up at five o'clock in the morning, just as you told up but lucky me or not, not a single one of you was there. Yesterday we were to do all this things but what did our beloved group leader do???? I never choose you as a leader and I will never see you as one so do me a favour and show your mighty claws to these puppets of yours. I really don't care. When you have allocated the parts, look for me then we talk. Oh and by the way, grow up." Then I clicked and went away leaving them in a daze.

Miki and Eugenie followed me to ask what had just happened because Rae Na Yi was crying after I left and I had to tell them what I told her. They then went with me to pick breakfast and after that everyone went to her table. My table had an added member making us six in total. P'Korn had decided to join us.
